1-Off Custom Toy Show Re-Cap...!!!
The 1-Off Custom Toy Show at Super7 on Saturday was a kick-ass show. Curated by our own Leecifer, it was a blast. The custom platform was limited to Super 7 and/or Gargamel toys only. A ton of people came out for the show. Many were faces that I hadn't seen before so that might have something to do with the new location on Haight Street. I think it was the first time many have been to the new store so it felt like a mini reunion of local Skullbrainers. The fact that there was a hefty Tradefest going on the same night helped a lot. Thanks for the suggestion John...! I grabbed two Paul Kaiju customs and had my hands on a few very nice trades. It was a good night for toys and hanging with friends. Thanks Brian, Josh, Luke, Windor and Lee for hooking us up..! There are a bunch of customs from the show onsale right now at Super7 with even more to come tomorrow so go get 'em..!

NISTUFF x Onell Design 8 Weeks of Custom Madness... Week 5...!!
Fallen Heroes Wave Two:
Before Battle every Crew member is told to come back in one piece or many. These heroes chose the less glamorous of the two options. Their battle damaged bodies reforged through the power of phase limb replacement technology these heroes will fight another day.
Here is Week Five of the Eight Weeks of Custom Madness between NISTUFF and Onell Design. As of this post, there are still Fallen Heroes Wave Two above available atGlyos Hub
Styre's Robotic Reanimated Abominations:
"Phase limb replacement technology is expensive and in most cases unreliable. With these Abominations I've decided to go with highly outdated ROBOTIC replacement limbs. These RRA's are an effective guard unit being immune to fear and other deterring emotions thanks to the Abom serum #63. Just because something is outdated doesn't mean it is without purpose."
Doctor Nolvur's Gobonic Experiments:
"The Powerful Gobon gendrone is an effective killing machine once you get past its harmless appearing exterior. I intended to raise its killing potential ten fold through three different forms of enhancements, Phase technology, Elemental infusion and Organic grafting. None of them met my expectations but each changed the base being for the better if I do say so myself."

New Monster Kolor Paints...!!
A Juicy one for February !. 1 oz bottle of "Kissed", A pinkish, purpleish color with micro pearl metallic. Also includes a 1/2 oz bottle of "Firecracker Pearl" as a chaser. Unlimited possibilities.....
Many of us use Monster Kolor for our custom toys. And for good reason: you can airbrush straight out of the bottle, it lays down beautfifully and comes in rainbow of opaque and transparent colors. Combine with the super gloss clear coat and have the makings for a very professional looking toy. Some have commented that with the accessibility of Monster Kolor, now all toys will look the same. I disagree as even using similar colors and the use of glitter, color-changing flakes and glossy clear coat, each artist still have their own twist to make their toys look their own.
The choices at Monster Kolor are even greater with the new "Kolor of the Month". Try them all out.
"Moon Dust": Unexplainable pearl color that contrasts into a subtle prizm of cosmic colors !.Rumored to glisten in the moon light ?????
"Over Easy". 1 oz luscious golden yellow with micro metallic mixed in. Sure to keep your toys looking unique ! Clear Coat recommended for maximum effect.
New Vividtone colors. Very bright to say the least. 1 oz kit contains vivid pink, yellow, orange, white and Clear Coat setup. White is recommended for brightest result.

The Most Creative Use of Cyborgs is seen in India's Most Expensive Movie
via: BoingBoing
Killer robots, a seeming infinitude of them, outnumbered only by the endless cannon-fodder Indian soldiers, each with his own machinegun. There are many like it, but this one is his. And it will soon be the killer robots. They will form into enormous, improbable geometrical solids, and they will improvise with those guns to create enormous whirling ballistic buzz-saws of death, except when they're forming up into huge, stylized cobras and such. And there are lorries filled with gas bottles, daring kamikaze missile-firing choppers (each more doomed than the last), and, of course, a software worm with the power to overcome them. Or does it?
Hipsters Will Not Escape MISHKA This Friday...!!
via: MISHKA Bloglin
Nicholas Gazin is a twenty-seven year old Brooklyn-based furball who fancies himself a jack of all trades and does all sorts of creative activities in order to stave off boredom and starving. He serves Vice Magazine as their comics editor and has also been writing, photographing and illustrating in their service for a few years. He’s also our copywriter and one of our regular illustrators. He/I wrote this very thing you’re reading now! Trippy!!! His connection to the music scene has led to him creating shirts, posters and album artwork for his favorite bands. He recently started doing the art for Scion’s sponsored garage rock shows and designed the vinyl records and T-shirt for Jay Reatard’s Shatter Records Fan Club releases.
No Escape is Nicholas’s second solo art show and is about the same thing most art shows are about: alienation, the life of an artist, how it feels to live in a place. The title directly refers to the grim realities of being a “creative professional” or an “artist” and living in New York. The pressure to produce consistently good work is draining. The high costs of living in New York, the violence and the filth make you want to move in with your parents and abandon your responsibilities. The world seems like it’s on the brink of apocalypse or at least devastating economic collapse. There are no other options and there’s no turning back at this point. The world sucks and there’s no escape.

Pico Pico's Mecha School Girl Resin Figure..!!
Luke from Lulubell Toys:
Stopped by Pico Pico's studio and snapped a few sneak peeks of his new resin figure. She makes her debut at Billiken Shokai's new group show this week. There is no doubt that the man can sculpt but this little cutie really stands out. Not one hundred percent sure on final price but it's looking like 50,000 yen for painted, 25,000 for rub and 10,000 raw. If you are in Tokyo get to this show.
Thanks Luke..! Let's see this figure in vinyl..!! Machine Girl anyone?
