Darkside Hero Toys Presents Wonderland!!!
Thanks to Mark Nagata for the hook-up on these cool Darkside Hero Toys. I believe these two sets are the first painted versions of Garblin and Bozz. Also many thanks to Mr. Y for the assistance as well!
I have a soft spot for toys with weapons and accessories. In this case, both sets come with both! The first set comes with staffs and axes. The best part is the real leather armor with a strap to hold the axe on their back. Too cool!
The 2nd set in the Wonderland Series is the Death Eater and Porter set. This set is really interesting too because both figurs are painted, but Garblin comes with a little robe and his head is turned backwards to give him a real creepy look. Bozz has the full Sex-Slave leather armor going on. Together, they look like they are ready for some kind of S&M party...!
I like to see Garblin's face... he looks like a Satanic Monk..!
ok...face backward
Both sets are very cool and highly recommended. These figures are perfect size. Not even quite Fight Figure size. Slightly bigger than a mini, but smaller than a Fight Figure. Costumes including the real leather armor really make both sets. The weapons are very cool, but need to be straightened.

Secret Base U.N.B.K. Skullbrain
My first reaction to this new Secret Base Skullbrain was "oh shit!" The design calls back to the Secreter Series which is still probaly the best series of Skullbrains ever. My second reaction was "what does UNBK stand for?" Well on the header card it reads: Ultra Nuclear Bomb Killer...!! We like it. Keep 'em coming just like these Hiddy.
Three New Exclusive Bagman Sets w/ New Head Sculps!
Secret Base continues the recent upswing in releases with these two sets of Bagman. The day-glo set above is a Cure Toys exclusive and unfortunately not available for overseas orders. You gotta love the new "Madball" head sculps and plushie inserts.
UPDATE: Didn't realize that Japanese online street wear retailer A.dore also have an exclusive Bagman colorway set too! Thanks for the heads up Kaz!!
This set is available for overseas orders from the Secret Base site for 4,200 Yen each not icluding shipping. That's around $42 USD.
Yikes! While I like Bagman just as much as the next guy, this is six (6) variants dropped all at the same time!! So a quick calculation for you completists out there: $42 x 6 plus shipping from three locations = $312...! that's a lot of money and this assumes retail price... I weep for the Bagman completists out there.
I still like the Cure versions the best. Must be that fade on the bag....nice!

Michael Lau CSBOOTH 16 Gardener Square Snake
I am a cursory fan of Michael Lau. I've always thought his Gardener characters were pretty cool. But up until now, i've never owned one. So when CSBOOTH 16 came around this year and he made a tribute to Metal Gear Solid's Snake figure, I got interested pretty quick. I love all things MGS. The cynic in me imagined that there was only going to be 25 pieces sold and that the day of the release, you would have to pay $500 on eBay to get one. I was pleasantly surprised to find them readily available for retail and our own Ningyoushi right here in San Francisco. Omar and Denise are the official source of Michael Lau goodies. In fact, weeks after being released, all three versions of Solid Snake are still available. The other two versions have a tan or black aligator costume.
Being this is my first Michael Lau figure, I can say I like it and would probably purchase more cool characters for retail price. It's certainly not Japanese vinyl, but I don't think it's supposed to be either. Apples and Oranges and that's ok with me. For $125, he could have included one of them M-16's from the "Fat West Jacket" figure. I would easily trade a few sets of hands that came with it for a machine gun. Since he didn't, I added my own submachine gun. Speaking of which, I'm still trying to track down the MGS Kubrick with the aligator head, but refuse to pay $200 for it...sigh.

'Lil Japan Laser Engraved Dragon Skate Deck
wow, check out buddy Hiro Hiyashi's aka Lil Japan new laser engraved Dragon Skate Deck. This thing is pretty cool. Only 10 will be made for his mailing list. $150 each. Very cool, but i'm afraid all my mad tricks would mess it up...
