This year, Pushead is stepping back in time a bit, and bringing out his old friend TAKESHIT, bassist extraordinaire of CocoBat, for his first appearance at SDCC! And for this special appearance, Pushead was able to get TAKESHIT to pull out of retirement, the figure that started it all, the FINKSHIT! That's right, the first underground DIY soft vinyl fight figure, that inspired the creation of Secret Base 4 years later. Plus, not only would the FinkShit be rising out of retirement, for this one time appearance after 15 years, it appears that when the original FINKSHIT head was sculpted (for the promo variation of Pushead's 'Race to Hell' tin car), there were 2 different head variations made in the wax cast. One without a scar (which become the production figure) and the other with a SCAR.

Also, after last years extremely successful 'ANDY' SkullWing, Pus dug down into that retirement vault, and found a way to convince Hiddy of Secret Base (old friend of FINKSHIT) owner, to pull the SkullBrain out of retirement too! ANDY got to work and created a very limited dark gray & glow marbled vinyl GRIM SkullBrain with a clear grey 'squishee' outer head and for perhaps the first time….skullMantis arms! Comes with a header card featuring lettering by Pushead over ANDY's design.






Last year's NYCC saw the birth of the Pushead + Usugrow RebelCaptain, and a few were slightly bummed, it wasn't at SDCC. So, just for SDCC, there will be a beautiful dark purple & glow marbled vinyl version, with a nice gold skullPirate's Eye tampo on the back.






These are just a few of the items that toyBot studios has been able to scrape out of the man himself, with a few snaps for good measure, that will be available at the Pushead SDCC event.

With even more surprises rumored to be in store! Come out and meet Takeshit, get an autograph on a CocoBat release, pick up a FINKSHIT SCAR or just say Konnichiwa! The annual event just keeps getting better!!

Secret Base U.N.B.K. Skullbrain

My first reaction to this new Secret Base Skullbrain was "oh shit!" The design calls back to the Secreter Series which is still probaly the best series of Skullbrains ever. My second reaction was "what does UNBK stand for?" Well on the header card it reads: Ultra Nuclear Bomb Killer...!! We like it. Keep 'em coming just like these Hiddy.

Secret Base U.N.B.K. Brain

It's nice to see Secret Base get back to basic with this new U.N.B.K. Secreter Brain. It's got that old school vibe that has been missing from many recent Secret Base releases. I would be very happy to see more like this...above pic stolen from Darth Hank.

The Secreter Brain series is a nod to Astro Mu and are probably the best Secret Base series IMO. This new one sports the retro pipe cleaners and a fresh paint application but comes with blue GID vinyl for the first time. You can order directly from Secret Base now so get on it before they sell out. ps: if anyone knows what UNBK means, drop me a note.

It Came From Skullbrain Custom Toy Show Preview!!

The "It Came From Skullbrain" Custom Toy Show is only a month away. With over 50 artists submitting up to 3 custom toys each, this is going to be a custom collectors dream come true. Scheduled for April 18th at Super 7, there is a long list of repainters, customizers and even some artists contributing their works to this amazing show. Better hoard your V-Color cause were talking a lot of painting going on here!

Skullbrain Art Trade #2 !!

So those crazy kids at Skullbrain just completed the 2nd Art Trade. Basically you do some kaiju-related art and trade it with other artists randomly. I have to say I was pretty impressed with this batch. My favorite by far is this sick sharpie and water color above by scottygee. The Skullbrain art trade is an ongoing thing so look for more as they are just beginning #3..!! Keep up the great work guys!!!
