Super 7 @ SDCC 2008!!!
Hometown favorite, Super7 did not disappoint at SDCC this year. With a slew of new releases and a ton of amazing events, the place to be this year was definitely at the S7 booth. It served as sort of a hangout and meeting spot for Skullbrainers visiting the show.

How about this Gorilla Biscuits Proto?
Or this Le Merde Mini? OMG!!!
Also un-veiled were these test pulls of the new Zombie characters. Each designed by various artists including S7 staff such as Joe, Hiro and Josh. I'm really digging the way this zombie line is turning out. Looking forward to seeing all the clears and painted versions. Not sure about those red gloves though...

L'amour Supreme @ SDCC 2008!!
Definitely one of the highlights of SDCC was to meet online buddy Joel Orbeta aka L'amour Supreme. An amazing artist who is blowing up in a very big way. He seems to be everywhere working on all kinds of projects and collaborations. L'amour is destined for the big leagues any day now.
Ultrapaul, me and L'amour. Thanks for the pic Carl!
L'amour goodies. Pics by Plastic Hunter. Great scores!!
But the highlight must be the announcement of this new Super 7 figure designed by L'amour Supreme and sculpted by Cosmo Liquid. Mongolion. He will be part of the Snakes of Infinity line. I might honestly be able to say that this was the raddest figure at the show.
Joel, you look like a man who is just as excited as we are! Congratulations!!

Toy Tokyo x Cronic x Cure x Mad Barbarian @ SDCC 2008
I gotta say I was pretty impressed with Toy Tokyo this year. They had some of the best toy releases at SDCC this year and my wallet can prove it. Lev above is kicking it with Mad Barbarian who had their "Miami Vice" release at the show.
Carl showing off his toy celebrity...
Cronic had an impressive run of figures both painted and unpainted at Toy Tokyo. I believe that if you purchased the entire set, it would cost you close to $1000.
I think the big story for us (aside from Toki Doki Geisha) was the arrival of Yumi from Secret Base and Satoshi from Cure Toys. The Pink Oni Boogieman was RED HOT and on every collector's want list it seemed. We were even approached by someone that offered $300 cash for our spot in the line. After purchasing the figure itself, they would have paid $425 for this toy!! Madness!! All I know is that this toy kicked ass and Yumi and Satoshi were rad to meet!
What about Secret Base?
As an extra special super surprise, Yumi brought several DBM Skullbrains in clear blue with her!!!
And one of the dudes that helped Lev put this all together is our own Lorne (on the right). Thanks Lorne!! Great job!!
