KAWS on CBS News including 4 Seconds of toybot studios Video!!
So my big break has come and gone in literally a second. Excited about national exposure when I was contacted by the producer of this CBS News story on KAWS a couple of months ago, my bubble has slightly deflated. Supposedly Kaws saw the video we did in Tokyo showing the line for the Kaws Stormtrooper and told the CBS Producer about it. It was a crazy line indeed. Sadly, the clip only lasted a mere 4 second (4:47-4:51), but at least they put it in. I was also hoping he would put my photography in the clip as well, but no such luck. Oh well... Thanks anyways John!
Here's the original footage...

Everybody wants the resin minis. I heard he's bringing new resin mini Himalans too!
While on the topic of Itokin Park, check out his new Lucha Bear toy. This will not be at the Super 7 show, but a sneak peek at things to come. Thanks SoS for the heads up on the fully painted pic! EDIT: There will even be a colorway designed by our very own LASH. Congrats Rich!!! That's awesome!
Reading Monster by uh oh! Toys
When I first saw this little 4" resin figure by uh oh! Toys, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He's a familiar looking monster but he's reading a book. What's he reading? Why is he reading? How come he's not sitting down with a cup of coffee? I guess the thought of a monster doing something as mundane as reading a book as opposed to destroying a city just throws you for a loop. Well, you gotta love the colorway. clear purple resin with black spray. classic. maybe some blue highlights in there too. Doesn't take up much desk space and he's short. all the perfect trapping of a cool little toy.
Plaseebo REACTOR Night Gamer Series!!!
Bob Conge has finally done it. He's merged three great things into one: LEDs, weird Aliens and Koosh Balls! I think this is some of his coolest work yet. Pretty tame for Bob. I like them and they would probably make cool night lites...
From Bob Conge:
Wilber and Orvil have left Manhattan and are on their way north up the Hudson river where they have stopped at the Indian Point nuclear power facility. While gaming the boys fathers brain one night, they stumbled upon a book he was reading about the thousands of UFO sightings reported over Indian Point beginning on New Years Eve 1982 and continuing thru 1986. They simply could not resist this combo of two of their most favorite things, UFO's and nuclear reactors. A big plus when playing in a nuclear power facility, the Night Gamers are not harmed by radiation, it does however cause temporary dramatic color and shape changes to their plump little bodies, which of course they think is very cool.
New Toys I Like
Quick post on a smattering of newish toys I like. New Kabuki Evil above by RealxHead. I really like the face. The colors are garish and over the top, but that's ok with me. Rumor is that there will be a complete set of RxH figures in the "Kabuki" style. I say sweet!
Cometdebris is doing a fan-favorite colorway just for you! Apparently clear pink is the clear winner. There will be a bit of paint. Offered first to his mailing list so sign up!
These Kozik Bigazzalon and Belchor are painted so beautifully, it makes one think if Frank even painted them. If so, this could be some of his best work yet. I don't see any Anarchy signs or blood splatter so i'm not convinced.
We missed this little guy. Gargamel clear pink mini crouching zag. Released only in Japan? Oh, well. We like him here too.

Medicom RAH220 Kamen Rider 8" Figures!!
3A Toys x Ashley Wood Photo Contest!!!
It turns out geeky toy collectors are pretty good photographers / Photoshop artists as well. At least that's what i'm finding out thanks to the 3A Toys Message Board Photo Contest featuring all things Ashley Wood. The first 3 photos are the winners and the rest are some of my other favorites. Great job guys!
