I have to admit that when I saw this Halo Spartan Emile figure before, I was on the fence for some reason despite the fact that Emile is my favorite Halo character ever. Put a skull on it and i'm down. But after seeing these pictures of Emile and the exclusive variant, i'm a converted man and will have to pre-order this bad bady. Personally I like the non-exclusive edition with the skull helmet and red shoulder armor. Just awesome.

The motorcycle is back! Similar to the fresh contemporary scene that has established itself around bicycles in the last few years, the motorcycle is currently undergoing an aesthetic resurrection. Gestalten.tv takes you on a visual ride with engines revved-up and roaring. This video features footage and commentary by celebrated bike builders including Roland Sands, Vincent Prat, Ola Stenegard, El Solitario’s David Borras, as well as The Ride’s co-editor Chris Hunter of Bike EXIF. Get an insider’s view of the high-spirited young motorcycle scene, which is extensively documented in our latest release The Ride: New Custom Motorcycles and their Builders.
Looks like BLObPUS is bringing back the new old school with the return of his mini figures. Clear vinyl with silver paint on the inside? yes please. I remember distinctly when these first came out a few years ago. Everyone freaked out. I have several of each in multiple colorways. To see them back warms the heart.
I just discovered the amazing pen and ink illustrations of French artist DZO Olivier. Insanely detailed drawings featuring skeletons, trees, feathers....the cycle of life and death...intricately illustrated. Just beautiful. Check out more on his Behance site above, www.juxtapoz.com or Hi Fructose

From SKINNER's webpage: When Cop A Squat Toys hit me up about doing a run of these, I immediately saw the potential in such a weird, and what I would consider to be, traditional looking character in the vein of Battling Kaiju via Ultra Man and vintage Sci-Fi...It just looks cool to me...Then when Adam Saul told me that He could silk screen a header, I thought the project could really be special...well, then I decided to stay home one day and hang out with my cats ( The Clone seemed sad), and draw the header, I kinda just started expanding on what I wanted to do until I had drawn a big dissected version of the Semi Korosiya so you could see the inner workings of the THING! I then sent it to Adam and we decided it should be a print...so what started as a simple run of these bad boys turned into a whole production with a print and incredible silk screen header as well...I painted them up over at Kozik's with V color and gave them an evil Black Iron Golem look with gold armor nubs and an evil all seeing eye...Im really proud of the way this colaboration turned out and anyone who is lucky enough to get one will have the print, the header ( which is a print in itself), and the bad ass toy...there are 10 of them and will be $225...They will go on sale thursday august 29th at noon pacific, I will mail them out that day! available onhttp://shopcriticalhit.com/products/semi-korosiyra
This interesting ring clock caught my attention today. I like the concept: a 24-hour clock embedded on a ring. I like the way it looks and if it worked, it would be sort of cool. I'm just not sure it would work. It's supposed to have a tiny battery that can light up the numbers when you spin the ring. but I think I would prefer to have it illuminate or somehow indicate the time at a glance without having to "turn it on". Also the design is currently in 24-hour time which might be great if you're in the military but would require me to perform math which would inevitably lead me to the wrong time. It's also expensive. at around $200, it's a lot to spend on a watch, even a stainless steel one shaped like a ring. But mainly since it's still in the design phase and the fundraising video is somewhat sketchy without a lot of details, i'm skeptical it can even be made. What do you think? Think it will work? Put your money where your mouth is: Fund the Ring Clock
