GFS 2010 - the CROSSOVER -An evil robot genius in a universe next door has deployed an unspeakable device that is renting the very fabric of space and time. Strange attractors are ripping though the multiverses grabbing Heros and Villians alike; mixing, distorting and melding them into mind-boggling configurations. They will step through into our universe very soon. Its going to be wild.

About that KAWS Medicom Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket Set
The big question circling about in the KAWS fan base since his solo show at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is if the KAWS x Medicom Pinocchio / Jiminy Cricket set would really go into production. Well Arrested Motion has confirmed with Medicom that this set is INDEED in production and it will be slated for release in 2010 barring any production issues. Wow, great news. Kawsone servers get ready...! Personally, i'd like to see a KAWS x Bobafett.

KaToPe x Le Merde Mini Hollis Custom
I'm a big fan of KaToPe's art and custom toys. When this little Monster Family Hollis went up for grabs, had to go for it. The level of detail is insane. I love the 80's skater vibe going on here. Thanks to AD for the hook up. I greatly appreciate it..! Hopefully there will be more KaToPe customs at SDCC this year!
The skateboard has a Zagoran on it.

Dead Presidents x One-Up Exclusive Customs!!
From Ken at One Up
" I have received amazing customs from Matt Walker (Dead Presidents). Here are first half of them. It has been almost a year since One-up sold his customs. To be honest, I have been avoiding customs because there are a lot of them out there for sale. But I know that Matt Walker is in a class of his own. He is well experienced and his pinstriping technique is something the other people cannot even copy. All of these customs that I have received this time are improved so much compare to last time. I am planning to release these customs either next week or week after. It is very hard to see his top rank technique and details via pictures. I will let you know when I display Matt's custom in our showcase so please come out and take a look."

KAWS
June 27, 2010, to January 2, 2011
This first solo museum exhibition of the work of Brooklyn-based artist and designer Brian Donnelly, a.k.a. KAWS, includes his most recent paintings, sculptures, and drawings, as well as a survey of his iconic street art, apparel, product and graphic designs.
KAWS’s first aesthetic influences came from skateboarding, as did his familiarity with New York City. Around 1991, he started marking his name in different areas of New Jersey and Manhattan. By the time he finished high school, he was mostly focused on graffiti and started intervening on advertising billboards. While exploring new strategies and locations for his work, he obtained a tool for opening bus shelter advertisement boxes. This allowed KAWS to seize the posters, integrate his work, and then replace them. He added an inflated skull with crossed bones and X-ed-out eyes; sometimes the skull was part of a serpentine-looking body that wrapped around the models, a blend that was humorous and daring. Word got around, and when it came to the point where the posters were pulled down and collected almost as soon as KAWS had replaced them, he decided to move on. Next he channeled his creativity into his studio practice, as well as products he developed and distributed on his own and in his boutique in Tokyo, OriginalFake, in partnership with Medicom Toy.

KAWS Solo Show at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield, CT
Video from artist OsirisOrion from the KAWS Solo Show at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, CT on June 27th. Looks like a cool show. Several pieces I would like in my house, but none of them have Spongebob or the Simpsons on them.

Incubot Nekosaur Stage 2: ALT-SPLIT: In Hand...!
Got a chance to take some shots of the latest Incubot Nekosaur Stage 2 first posted here. They come in two flavors: the all black and grey Carbon version and the Diablo version which has blood red details. Both are very cool. This was the first time I had to cut out and install the inserts. Slightly daunting at first, but easy enough once done. Kudos to the origami master that came up with the insert design. I really like the half-painted look. It's an homage to a set of toys that came out in the 80's that showed all the glorious mechanical innards. Buy both versions HERE
Here's an example of a Banpreso Grendizer with the mechanical innards. In this versoin, the innards are molded and painted plastic inside. really cool.
