Skulletor Ghost Trooper

Damn, right on the heels of the superb, tinsel-infused Ghost Trooper from the 9th Anniversary Lucky Bag, we have this homage to Skulletor Ghost Trooper which I dare say is the best looking Ghost Trooper yet.

Toygraph and Super7's Brian Flynn team up once again for the Skulletor Ghost Trooper! This spaced-out explorer is cast in clear blue vinyl with blue, green, and silver sprays, and answers the question, what would happen if you took your space helmet off in a vacuum, and your head was haunted? Available June 12th.

Drilone Custom Toygraph Space Troopers

I'm a big fan of Drilone. Even before I met him, I thought his custom toys were cool. In fact, one of the only Munnies I own is a custom he did like four years ago. Still have it.

When the opportunity arose, I asked Drilone to customize a set of Toygraph Space Troopers in his trademark weathered military style. Since there were three, the idea was to have them be alternate future United States, Russian and Japan Space Troopers. The results as you can see are stunning. Just look at the details on each figure. The weathering, the paint, the stencils. The rivets in each Trooper look like they belong there. I love the hose on the Japanese Trooper too.

Drilone also goes the distance with his craft. Some guys will do a custom header card or a cardboard box, but Alex goes all the way. He crafted a wooden box from scratch, made stencils and painted it to look just like a WWII Ammo Case. He even had dog tags made. wow, what a great set. Thanks Alex...!

Brian Flynn x Toygraph Ghost Trooper

Sitting on an army of Toygraph Space Troopers, i'm relieved to see that a few Western Designers are stepping up and putting their signature spin on a beloved, but slightly over exposed toy. The first out of the gate is Brian Flynn's Ghost Trooper in signature Super7 orange and black. This could be one of my favorite Flynn designs to date. Probably because it's a riff on the vinyl gateway Ghost Fighter by Secret Base. My understanding is that a Space Trooper has lost his helmet in space and this is what happens. Bummer. I'd love to see this toy in more clear colorways. I have an extra helmet lying around. I might try to do something showing the ghosts ripping out of the helmet or something.

Toy Tokyo NYCC Exclusive Toygraph Space Trooper!!

Got my Toy Tokyo NYCC Exclusive Toygraph Space Trooper. Yes, it's pink. Thank you Lorne. It's so ridiculously pink that it actually works. If you were to describe to me this colorway with the mix of opaque pink spray over clear pink, I would have said, no, no...! Too much pink! But somehow it manages to look quite fetching. The extra star weapon and the blood dripping out of this mouth make up for the pinkness... The question is how is Lorne ever going to make a toy that is more pink? Check Toy Tokyo cause I think there might even be some left for some un gawdly reason...











While were on the subject, this new "Death 13" Trooper is long been in the wings and may show up this week.

Mark Nagata Custom Mizaru Ape Troopers!!

Mark Nagata custom painted up only two of these Mizaru Ape Troopers by Toygraph and emailed a couple of close collectors to see if they wanted to buy them. The first two that read them purchased them. Luckily they didnt' want the same one either. Beautiful and wonderful. I emailed Mark asking for more and a shot to get one. Hopefully more on the way. Congrats to Harmon and Andy. I hate you both.

SR-01, the planet offensive robot has been developed by the Space Planet Allied Forces. This particular robot arm has made for the purpose of supporting Space Troopers at any local wars.

By incorporating the brain cell of the high offensive skilled mutant Mizaru-1 into his computer system as AI, SR-01 becomes almighty robot that can automatically select offensive patterns and enforce them in compliance with any circumstances of the combat. SR-01 supposed to gather speed of the aggression and remarkably reduce the casualties of war on Space Troopers and the Space Planet Allied Forces…

But they will experience something terrible that they are not even expected…
