Gargamel Garudan by Kiyoka Ikeda SDCC 2014

Here is the new Garudan figure designed and handpainted by Kiyoka Ikeda of Gargamel. It's a new bird-like head with an inner head and new fiery wings. Maybe it's some kind of Phoenix. The body is a Deathra body. Personally my favorite large figure from Gargamel is the Deathra. But this year for SDCC, Gargamel brought a lot of these new Garudan. It took me a little while, but i'm really taking a liking to this new guy. I really don't like bird toys. Not sure why, just never have been into toys with beaks. But I really appreciate the clear fiery head with the translucent paint and matching wings. If you notice, this one has a 3rd eye as well. Some only have two eyes. I'm glad I ended up picking up this guy because I have a new appreciation for this sculp and of course, the colorway is amazing.

Gargamel at SDCC 2014

Yes, Gargamel....!! The stuff of dreams. Another major reason to endure the madness that is Comic Con. Most of us have been collecting Gargamel for years now and I don't think my enthusiasm for their toys has ever wavered. Comic Con is the one big opportunity each year that you can buy their one-off customs. This year they introduced a new figured called Garudan. It's a new bird-like head on the Deathra body with new fiery wings. I normally don't like any toys with beaks but I have to admit, the thing grew on me and I ended up purchasing one. Most of the heads were clear with an inner head which was very cool. If you notice, some of them have a 3rd eye on the forehead just like Game of Thrones. cool....

Probably the best Deathra at the show. Carl was lucky enough to snag it.

This the Garudan that I ended up choosing. c'mon. you gotta love this guy. I love the clear vinyl with the translucent purple sprays. The clear heard with the pink highlights is awesome. I'm really glad I picked him up. Good companion figure to all my other Deathras.
