Custom MEGATRON by Frenzy Rumble
wow. Insane custom MEGATRON by Frenzy Rumble. Love the Megamace. Great job.
This is a commissioned piece of War for Cybertron's MEGATRON! The main modification done here was the swap in of new hands, which can hold 5mm weapons. These new hands split into halves (like the stock toy's) and hinge into the tank (alt modes) treads. Speaking of 5mm weapons, this custom created Megamace is c/o fakebuster, it's amazing! I went to town with tons of battle damage, colors, details, etc. The "glowing" parts were custom blended, from purple on the outsides to white in the middle, to give a nice glowing effect. Megatron's ready to lay a whooping on Prime. His arm canon also has a 3mm purple LED, with easy-access batteries and an on/off switch up top.

David Flores x Hell Fire Deathead Clear Test Pull
Getting more excited about David Flores' Mickey Mouse Deathead. What looks to be a test pull in clear vinyl. This toy is shaping up very nicely. Should be five different colorways. I would be stoked if at least two were clear. No release date yet.

Plaseebo x Todd Robertson: Mecha Brain Crawler
Plaseebo in Cahoots with Todd Robertson
We are pleased to offer the second collaboration with one of our favorite customizers. For this offering Todd has infected the Plaseebo Night Gamer vinyl brain and Bobs hand cast resin Octocrawler base with his "Mecha Virus" to create the "MECHA BRAIN CRAWLER ".
Using Styrene, aves sculpt, found electronics, vintage vacuum tubes, resin, vinyl, and glass marbles, Todd has created a masterfully crafted original figure lusciously painted with MonsterKolor, Montana sprays, acrylics and One shot. This unique character is based on Todds original backstory.
Mecha Brain Crawler Backstory
copyright Todd Robertson 2011
In a fusion of the mecha virus and small particles left behind from Night Gamers dimensional jumps, the Mecha Brain Crawlers were formed. These M.B.C.'s use special enhanced mecha sections to communicate between one another and other creatures infected by the virus. They also have the ability to store information about the infected creatures and each of their locations. In a sense, the M.B.C.'s act as a GPS and a flash drive for the mecha virus.
These creatures developed from the mecha virus taking the small Night Gamer particles and replicating them until a brain, much like that of the Night Gamers, was formed. The mecha virus created two vacuum tubes to aid in communication. The first smaller tube, helps them connect to each other. The second bigger tube, is used to keep track and send messages to other infected creatures. After the organic and robotic parts merged, octopus-like tentacles grew from the bottom of the brain. This gave them some limited mobility. These creatures live throughout the universe and even in other dimensions. Being almost everywhere allows them to stay connected to the entire mecha virus web. Thinking or communicating causes M.B.C.'s to glow in a full spectrum of colors.
This is an ULTRA LIMITED Edition of only 6 custom pieces. Each Mecha Brain Crawler features three glass eyes, two glass vacuum tubes, an array of electronic parts and a switched color changing LED unit that illuminates the brain and glass eyes from within.
The edition will be available from the PLASEEBO web shop http://plaseebo.net/ on FRIDAY December 2nd for $450. each.

Jeff Soto for Underbelly Show at Art Basel Week Miami 2011
Remember that secretive and unprecedented undertaking in New York last year entitled the Underbelly Project. Toiling four stories underground in an abandoned subway station in New York, over 100 artists invited by PAC and Workhouse left their mark on the space with murals and graffiti. Although the original “urban gallery” was sealed and unaccessible, this environment will be recreated in Miami for the Underbelly Show opening from Dec. 2 -5 (78 NW 25th Street in Miami, FL). Not only will the exhibition feature photos that documented the project, some of the artists will also contribute original work for a group show during Art Basel Week Miami. For example, look at this remarkable new piece from Jeff Soto entitled Monster, a stunning culmination of explorations of the new direction he has been taking with his recent work.
The full line-up of artists include: Faile, Dabs & Myla, TrustoCorp, Aiko, Rone, Revok, Ron English, Jeff Soto, Mark Jenkins, Anthony Lister, Logan Hicks, Lucy McLauchlan, M-City, Kid Zoom, Eric Haze, Saber, Meggs, Jim & Tina Darling, The London Police, Sheone, Skewville, Jeff Stark, Jordan Seiler, Jason Eppink and I AM, Dan Witz, Specter, Ripo, MoMo, Remi/Rough, Stormie Mills, Swoon, Know Hope, Skullphone, L’Atlas, Roa, Surge, Gaia, Michael De Feo, Joe Iurato, Love Me, Adam 5100, and Chris Stain.

SECRET BASE x DEVILMAN T-Shirt / Toy Set Exclusives..!!
clear blue is Rockin Jellybean exclusive and Devilock has the clear green.
So this awesome Devilman T-Shirt / Toy Set is exploding. First I thought it was a Bounty Hunter Exclusive. Then It made sense that Secret Base was going to throw down their own set since Hiddy is producing all the toys.
What I wasn't prepared for is that a number of other retailers will also have their own exclusive t-shirt and toy combo announced on the Secret Base Blog. This is going to drive all the completists nuts. I want all of them too, but at $100 a set, it's going to be expensive.
A note about the sets. Maxaltoman pointed out that each store will have their exclusive T-Shirts with different artwork. Then you will get a blindbag toy in the set which could be one of any four color variants: The unpainted black, the store exclusive or one of the two full painted chase versions in either green or flesh/black.
First the toys:
unpainted blue is Secret Base exclusive and Union has the unpainted purple
clear is Bounty Hunter exclusive and the unpainted black is across all stores
unpainted red is Mural exclusive and grey is Fudobrain
Yellow is Doarat exclusive and green is Mackdaddy
T-Shirts: Rockin Jellybean
Mackdaddy exclusive
Mural exclusive
Fudobrain exclusive
thanks for the heads-up Bryce, chimplykaiju and Maxaltoman
