This is a commissioned piece for one of my most faithful customers, supporters and great friend. Leader Class Scale Megatron does not transform, but stands a towering 11" tall to the top of his head. A big thanks to RA88 for his rendition of Megatron and the inspiration. I based Megatron off movie stills combined with Josh Nizzi's Dark of the Moon concept artwork. Megatron is LOADED with details and articulation. Huge thanks to fakebuster for the shapeways 3d printed movie accurate shotgun and Megatron's right hand.

Megatron's articulation includes : ball jointed head, shoulders, upper arms (joint and swivel), elbows, forearm swivel, ball jointed wrist (right), double jointed fingers (right), ball joint wrist (left), claw fingers on hinges (left), hips, upper les swivel, kneeds, feet on giant strong ball joints, and toe articulation (yes...toe)

Megatron's eyes and head lights up brightly thanks to 2 3mm red LED bulbs which both lead to a simple on/off switch on his back, and easy-access battery right next to the switch. Megatron's shotgun fits snugly on his back and into a 5mm peg post in his right hand. His cloak was made using linen found at a nearby fabric store (they are worse than AC Moore & Michael's combined) tempered, cut up, and aged, then painted with many coats of clear coat which ensure it's form is kept (it's stiff!)

Perfect Effect - RC Motorcyles @ TFsource

spotted on the very cool blog Battle Grip is this awesome Perfect Effect custom Transformer. It comes in pink and blue, but costs a cool hundy. I love the way the motorcycle looks. In robot mode, it looks pretty damn nice too. My concern is that i've never ordered one of these Perfect Effect toys so I don't know how awesome they are. I'm sure it's pretty nice, but hows the engineering for the transformation? My fear is it's over complicated and too fragile with shit falling off at every turn.

Transforming Gingerbread House

ok, this is seriously geeky but in a holiday sort of way. "Gingerbreadtron" built by Brian Hall. Well done.

Edit: Just to clarify: the outside of the house is made of real gingerbread and candy attached via icing to a cardboard frame. You can see some of the cardboard after it transforms. The gingerbread and candy was very tasty although it was a little tricky to pull off.

San Jose Super Toy and Collectible Show

Went down to the San Jose Super Toy Show this weekend. Got the early bird and there was hardly any wait whatsoever. It was toy heaven. Figuratively and literally. Toy Heaven for me as I love events like this. It's like a giant garage sale from all the local toy collectors and toy stores. It's literally Toy Heaven (or Hell) for many of these toys as they have seen better days. Not much Japanese toys. Tons of Star Wars, Transformers, Hot Wheels, and the like. Hung out with Joe and Daniel. Spotted a couple of OG members like Mike of ClubTokyo and Jim (vintagevinyl). Funnyara was there, but must have been hiding cause I couldn't find him. Definitely a good time. Recommended for any toy collector. Check out the slideshow:

Transformers Stop Motion Movie: Race and Destroy

wow. completely impressed with the stop motion skills of Counter656 with this awesome Transformer movie.

I always want to make a car racing stop motion, and here it is, see how Bumble Bee race and fight against Barricade. This video took me around 2 month of production and total around 3500 pictures.

Custom MEGATRON by Frenzy Rumble

wow. Insane custom MEGATRON by Frenzy Rumble. Love the Megamace. Great job.

This is a commissioned piece of War for Cybertron's MEGATRON! The main modification done here was the swap in of new hands, which can hold 5mm weapons. These new hands split into halves (like the stock toy's) and hinge into the tank (alt modes) treads. Speaking of 5mm weapons, this custom created Megamace is c/o fakebuster, it's amazing! I went to town with tons of battle damage, colors, details, etc. The "glowing" parts were custom blended, from purple on the outsides to white in the middle, to give a nice glowing effect. Megatron's ready to lay a whooping on Prime. His arm canon also has a 3mm purple LED, with easy-access batteries and an on/off switch up top.

Transformer Movie "Dual Model Kits"

These are sort of interesting. Non tranforming Transformers. Not really model kits either. Made by Takara Tomy and taking a note from Bandai's playbook, these are (hopefully) die-cast skeletons which you fit a bunch of panels onto to create Optimus Prime or BumbleBee. The good news is this allows for a very intricate appearance and highly flexible action figure. The bad news is that in my experience, the panels will tend to fall off while playing and Optimus is expensive. Even with the AmiAmi 25% discount, it's still ¥6,450. Still $80 before shipping. ouch..! Due out end of June. Pre-Order Optimus now at AmiAmi

Custom Masterpiece Transformer Scorponok - Over $1,000???

wow, Tformer fans are serious. This customizer Thyvipera has this 2 foot tall custom Masterpiece Transformer on ebay right now and it's lighting up the boards. 32 bids and up to $910.00 with five days still to go...! Damn... that's hardcore. But were talking the big daddy of Transformers here. 2 friggin feet tall...! LEt's take bets on how much the final bid will be. People are crazy and Tformer collectors are crazier than most so I'm going to bet over $1,500.

This Masterpiece Scorponok is my greatest and most favorite custom I have done to date. This will be the only one I list on ebay, so don't miss your chance to own him. This is a massive custom, nearly 2 feet tall. Scorponok has two modes, Robot mode and Scorpion Battlestation mode. His battlestation mode is heavily armed, with 4 double-barrel cannons, and 4 missile launchers. Cyclonus and Scourge can fit into the turret cockpits and both arm a cannon. Lord Zarak acts as the pilot and fits into the driver cockpit. Zarak merges with Helmet. Scorponok was built from countless Transformer figures and parts. He was painted with quality paints. Scourge and Cyclonus ARE INCLUDED with the auction. There will be an addittional accessory that will be added before the auction ends. PLEASE SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY.

Articulation includes:
-Head has full range of movement.
