Cool..! This is a video from a toy store display in a mall in Norway showing a set of Star Wars LEGOs, but all the special effects are being projected via hologram of some kind.

LEGO Heavy Weapons Book

LEGO Heavy Weapons Book

If you thought these videos of 1:1 scale shooting LEGO guns were cool, you're in luck! This same guy Jack Streat is releasing a book to show you how to build your own...! $24.95 and due out in May. Check it OUT.

From LEGO guns mastermind and 17–year-old YouTube sensation Jack Streat comes LEGO Heavy Weapons, a collection of complete building instructions for four truly impressive, 1:1-scale replicas of the world's most iconic firearms.

LEGO Heavy Weapons will show you how to build brick-based models of:
•A massive Desert Eagle handgun, with working blowback action
•The compact but deadly AKS-74U assault rifle with folding stock
•A bolt-action Lee Enfield sniper rifle (a.k.a. Jungle Carbine)
•A pump action SPAS combat shotgun

Each set of instructions includes a complete parts listing, so you can find (or special order) any hard-to-find bricks. The book's illustrated, step-by-step building instructions will be clear to anyone who's ever played with LEGO bricks, and the biggest models will challenge and delight even the most serious builders.

Vote for Star Wars Dark Bucket..!!

Star Wars Dark Bucket - VOTE

STAR WARS DARK BUCKET

Especially useful for building scenes of STAR WARS with LEGO,
and most likely a dream come true for those who wish to have 100 minifigure Storm Troopers to play with!

This DARK BUCKET contains 99 Storm Troopers and one black-chrome Darth Vader. I just think that the sheer number of Troopers will add jaw dropping awesomeness into any STAR WARS creation, and ultimately motivate you to start creating something with LEGO!

I also wish that these little troops could actually promote some form of “peaceful” mission, like in Operation Tomodachi, whereby the United States Armed Forces carried out rescue operations to assist Japan in 2011 during the 3.11 disaster. I want to donate ALL royalties (if this set manage to achieve the target of 10,000 votes) to children in Fukushima, or any other children charity organization for that matter.

I am sure many of you out there have lots of good ideas to improve on this bucket, so any ideas or comments are welcome!

Let’s do good with minifig bad guys!
Your vote counts in helping us to realize this ultimate LEGO bucket!

VOTE HERE

As some of you mentioned, we wish if we could have more trooper characters in Dark Bucket. What if the bucket containts Storm Troopers, Sand Troopers, Scout Troopers, Snow Troopers, Tie Pilots, AT-AT Pilots, and one Darth Vader? Maybe the number of Storm Trooper depends on the final price. It would be nice if two of Storm Trooper could be Luke Skywalker and Han Solo.
What's the best combination of minifig characters for Dark Bucket? Any ideas or suggestions are welcome!

Star Wars Dark Bucket - VOTE

Haru has 5,207 votes for this project. He needs 10,000 votes for the official LEGO Review. If you click on the "Official LEGO Comments" tab, they offer guidance at various milestones. Interesting that they divulge licensing restrictions as well as cost implications.

Dale May Star Wars LEGO Show at Samuel Owen Gallery

Dale May Star Wars LEGO Show

Celebrity photographer Dale May wanted to do a fun project for himself so he turned to his passion around Star Wars LEGO figures and recently had a show at the Samuel Owen Gallery. I really like a few of these like the X-Ray Trooper above. But most of these are shots that you could take with your own camera and save a grand..!

The LEGO WARS series is a photographic study of popular culture, commercial advertising and nostalgia. As an adult, Dale May revisits these tiny plastic Lego toys and photographs them in a way that returns them to the epic importance they once had as a child, reminding us why we needed to collect every single piece.

Iconic, nostalgic, yet timeless, the artist brings a new look to a subject that’s common place. Dale leaves nothing to chance, not only is the work impeccably crafted and well thought out but the material he has chosen to produce the Lego Wars series was no accident. Dale felt that the entire piece of art should resemble the high polished glossiness of the subject itself. Crafted in archival acrylic and backed with aluminum dibond, the work is given a look not unlike the plastic Star Wars Lego or something in Darth Vader’s home, the Death Star itself!

LEGO Cross-Reality Adverts

LEGO Ads

These are great. Not sure where they are located, but LEGO has created these ads that take advantage of the background to make the panel look transparent but with a LEGO creature super-imposed.

LEGO WERKSTRA "Titano Bianca" by kwi-chang

WERLSTRA "Titano Bianco" by kwi-chang

Another awesome LEGO masterpiece by kwi-chang. These are so good that you easily forget it's made up of LEGO's. This WERKSTRA "Titano Bianco" has that Gundam space vibe and uses what looks like a Busou Shinki figure as a pilot. I love it.

Iron Man Mark V Transforming Briefcase Suit

For the past 10 months, I've spent virtually every spare moment designing and building the worlds first Iron Man Mark V Briefcase suit of armour.

Unique in it's ability to transform from a briefcase into the fully detailed and fully functional suit of armour, this endeavor was inspired by the Iron Man 2 movie.

The Discovery Channel's Daily Planet intends to feature my suit on one of their upcoming shows, and I will be appearing at ComicCon 2011 in Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, March 18th, 2011.

LAB-002 FULCRUM LEGO Mech by kwi-chang

LAB-002 Fulcrum by Kwi Chang

I realize there are tons of very skilled LEGO builders out there, but for pete's sake, will someone get this dudekwi-chang a job at LEGO designing these mech kits? amazing. This kind of toy is right up my alley. Mech suit with a 3 3/4 GI Joe driver. I don't even like LEGO's that much.
