Transformer Movie "Dual Model Kits"

These are sort of interesting. Non tranforming Transformers. Not really model kits either. Made by Takara Tomy and taking a note from Bandai's playbook, these are (hopefully) die-cast skeletons which you fit a bunch of panels onto to create Optimus Prime or BumbleBee. The good news is this allows for a very intricate appearance and highly flexible action figure. The bad news is that in my experience, the panels will tend to fall off while playing and Optimus is expensive. Even with the AmiAmi 25% discount, it's still ¥6,450.
