Bandai is releasing a series of Chogokin Lightan figures in February. I was really into the Gold Lightan Soul of Chogokin figure although it did remind me fondly of 007's Goldfinger!! Something about the cool variety of lighter-like robotic figures here that strikes my fancy! What i'm not sure about is the extent that these guys actually transform into something that resembles a lighter. The Gold SOG version pretty much completely transforms, but some of these guys look like they just have arms and legs permanently hanging out. My personal favorite is the Scope Lightan with the blue raccoon eyes. Get 'em in February by pre-ordering now from Hobby Link Japan for around $45 not including overseas shipping.
