Hasbro Dioramas @ SDCC 2009

Hasbro @ SDCC 2009

Hasbro went all out this year with these amazing, unbelievable dioramas. If you read this blog, you know I dig dioramas. These things were huge and spanned multiple levels. It was like a giant ant farm except with GI Joe and Star Wars figures. Check out the looks on the kids faces when gazing into these things. They will remember these scenes, go him, pull out all their GI Joes and Star Wars figures and maybe even try to build a secret HQ or battle scene just like these. It's these expressions that capture the essence of playing with toys. fucking priceless. Of course you need a shit load of these toys to even come close to these dioramas, so I think there is some Hasbro marketing genius going on here too...lol.

Star Wars had a separate diorama that was more of an outdoor battle scene...Clone Wars? Think about the dudes building and setting up these battle scenes. No doubt toy geeks just like you and me. They get paid to play with an unlimited supply of figures and vehicles with resources to build buildings and landscapes. wtf? How cool is that?
