Latest Order From Japan: Calamity Dog Blue Version Zerberus VR-Maxima Limited Edition!!

Whew! That is some title! The latest 6-Inch Votoms Action Figures from CMS is now in stock at Hobby Link Japan. I first saw this guy a couple of months ago and wrote this Preview Post on the subject. Now that they are in stock, we have better pictures - which made me, of course, order one immediately. It may be hard to tell from the pictures, but there are actually two versions of the Zerberus. The first shown here is the normal blue colorway. The one I just purchased is the limited edition colorway with the blue metallic paint scheme. I'm a sucker for metallic paint and dont' even get me started on blue metallic paint! Also i've posted up a photo of CMS' new Shadow Flare figure as well. I haven't purchased it yet, but I may if the Zerberus is all it's cracked up to be. Even though you have to wait a bit longer when ordering from Hobby Link Japan, you can't argue with their selection and they seem to be first in getting many new items compared to the guys in Hong Kong or Singapore. HLJ's prices even including shipping are fair and more importantly, I trust them. I've been buying from HLJ for years now and will probably continue to do so for a long time. Both versions of Zerberus are in stock right now at HLJ for around $43 not including overseas shipping. Order the Zerberus VR-Maxima Limited Edition Metallic Blue version here.

ooh--how are they? I am a little weary about CM's stuff because I was so disappointed with GGG. I just broke down and ordered the super execution blue knight and shawdow flare from HLJ. I ordered the original Blue Knight from BBTS (on clearance). I'm a sucker when it comes to VOTOMs stuff (I won't buy all of the Takara AG releases though--too much of the same thing). I figure, the BBTS order will come through first; if it sucks, then I'll cancel the others.

I'm currently trying to get a copy of the Blue Knight graphic novels. I really like the whole VOTOMs concept. BTW, if you haven't seen the VOTOMs original series yet, I would recommend it. Some people complain about the pacing, but I actually like the pace of the show. THe characters are memorable, and well...it's just good (IMO)! At 52 episodes, I still wish for more.

jl,

glad to see other Votoms fans here! I would like to see more Votoms action figures and super stoked about the Strikedog coming out later this year. My Bloodsucker should be here soon too!

I like the Zerberus a lot. It's sitting on my desk right now. Good hefty figure, the limited color is this awesome pearlescent blue which is just beautiful. My ONLY complaint is that the joints are a bit loosey goosey.

I didn't buy the Shadowflare as I have too many other toys higher on the list. BBTS is a great place to shop. I think I ordered my Bloodsucker from Joel...

never got into the graphic novels or the Anime. I'm kind of a snob when it comes to anime. It has to be the really high production movie quality or i'm not watching it.

speaking of anime (non mecha), check out Karas the Prophecy. It's really good. lots of action!
