Horvath Flatwoods DE-CLASSIFIED FILE!!!

1HORVATH_2_05_07

2HORVATH_2_05_07

So the mystery is solved! All three Horvath Flatwoods figures will be released at Super 7 on Valentine's Day! What a great gift for my wife! Undoubtably when I arrive home with this thoughtful and sincere gift of love in my hand, she will slap me silly and ask where are the red roses! Just kidding! I know better than to give her toys for Valentine's Day!! At $95 each they are a bit expensive. The fact that they come blind bag is a bit disconcerting as well since if you're gonna lay down that kind of money for a toy for yourself instead of red roses and chocolates, you kinda wanna have a choice of colorways. Having said that, all three colorways are sick, sick, sick. You can't go wrong! Lastly however, the one bag per person limit is difficult. But that's ok, you should be buying red roses and chocolates, not more toys you selfish bastard!! See you next Wednesday bright and early before the UGLY people get there!!

Wow. Just like a monologue in my own head.

Except I never actually "come home" with toys. I just have to hide the boxes with orange tape or EMS labels before my girlfriend sees them.

Well, at least SB didn't release any Valentine's figures this year. That we know of, anyway.

$95 for that?! Must...bite...tongue....!
Fans must be millionaires to lay down $100 for a $7 toy. You make SHE fans feel like they got a great deal.

May your significant others never know what the prices are on your little vinyl toys!

...I know, I know...the soft vinyl toys...they're special. The only one that I fancy is the impossible to find SDCC 2006 Desura that I'll never own, so I guess I'm fortunate. For that, you are a rich AND lucky bastard ;-)

Well, we all gotta have fun, right? hope you get the color-scheme you like best! :)

ji,

yes, even for designer vinyl, $95 is on the tad expensive side. even $75 would be more palatable. But very limited which means not that many produced which drive up costs.

You have good taste. The SDCC2006 Desura is one of my all time favorite figures. Hopefully you caught a good look in my Gargamel gallery a few posts down. Feel free to print and put on your desk! jk.

I think these guys are special so i'll throw down the cash. I'll let you know if they are worth it next week.

Cool. I just might print out a copy of your desura pic. That's about as close as I'll get!

I'm leaning towards a Touma GID immortal somethingoranother. Do you know how tall it is? All they said was that it is "full sized".

yeah, and let us know what you think of your new additions!

ji,

i was just kidding about printing out that pic! lol! yeah, you don't see those come around very often. If I see one, i'll pick it up.

as for the GID Goon, it's about 8 inches tall. Me likey and resisting pulling the trigger myself. but like I said, there is a case of mini goons coming my way!

If you found one and picked it up for me, I would love you forever--oh, and definitely reimburse(sp?) you...and spell check my messages.

8inches...that sounds awesome. I was hoping it would stand that tall. ...aw crap...the temptation!

If I gave in, you'll be the first to know.

I gave in. Now I'll finally know what soft-vinyl GID japanese goodness is all about. I'm hoping I fall in love with it, but at the same time...I know that can't be good for my fundz. I hope I love it anyway!

When it comes in, I'll share some pics!

Thanks for the recommendation!

wow! Congratulations! Touma Goon is a great way to start any vinyl collection. Beware, there are a ton of colorways! Let me know what you think when it shows up.

I will admit however, that the Goon did not get me addicted like Secret Base so your mileage might vary...

Thanks! I think the GID feature sold me. Hopefully it will look awesome in the day and night.

Secret Base stuff is really appealing, but I don't know where to find the goods online.

I still feel funny about designer vinyl, but I do like the randomness of some of the designs--and it's a nice break from the PVC anime statues (which I've been getting more and more into lately). very fun, but the PRICES! ah!! that's what gets me--but I've been saying that like every day now. I guess I can't fight the power, so I just gotta be at peace with it.

I'll let you know how it is. I've already got some picture ideas for it.
