Samurai 7 Trading Figures Preview!!!

After I wrote this post on the Samurai 7 preview that I saw on Danny Choo's site, I decided to look for the anime online. I ended up buying all 26 episodes on eBay and after watching the first 12 episodes which are just under 30 minutes each, I have to say it has to be one of the best Anime Series I have ever watched. Based loosely on Akira Kurosawa's classic black and white epic Seven Samurai, Samurai 7 is set in a futuristic "steam punk" feudal Japan with giant Samurai mechas called "No-Burseri" that constantly plague the poor farmers for food and what not. You get the picture. While there is not as much action as I would normally require, the storyline is damn good. I really can't wait to see each new episode as they always leave the existing story in a cliff hanger of sorts. Really well done. I will have no problem adding this series to my all time greatest Anime list.

I also decided to see if there are any toys related to the anime series because when you have anime, toys are sure to follow. I was really hoping to find the giant mech No-Buseri action figures, but I was pleased to find that they have just released a set of Samurai 7 trading figures of all seven chosen (or volunteering) Samurai. After watching 12 episodes, I can say that I am attached to each of the characters so picking up a case from Hobby Link Japan was easy. Expect to see a review and photogallery as soon as they arrive. Since 10 come to a case, expect me to hopefully, please hopefully to have 3 duplicates after making a full set of seven!!!!
I hope they look as detailed as they do in these pictures!!!

Did you ever open that case of Samurai 7 figures? And if you did, did you get a complete set with 3 duplicates, or did they trick you and you didn't get a complete set and got say 5 duplicates???

Thanks ever so much!!!!!
