Spyderco 2012 Prototype: Ed Schempp TUFF

Spyderco TUFF 2012

I've been receiving a ton of updates lately from Spydercollector.com because he's just come from the Spyderco show in Amsterdam where all the Spyderco 2012 previews are being shown. Check his site above for all the 2012 Previews. I really haven't been impressed with anything yet...until now. Ed Schempp TUFF...!!! The handle and framelock have been re-designed with this really interesting dimple pattern. I love it.

Check out the earlier prototype from last year and see all the improvements. The blade is obviously the big draw here. I love that huge groove. I'm digging the huge stainless pivot, the dimple pattern and the framelock of course. I hope this beast isn't over 9" long overall, but it's a big knife for sure. Going to be expensive too. I'm guessing in the $250-$300 range. Supposedly out in June, but holding my breathe. This knife is on the top of my want list.
