Check out this amazing John Grimsmo Norseman. It's his first custom knife and you see it's creation from inception to production chronicled on his YouTube Channel.
. Personally I love this knife. It's beautiful and fires like a rocket. Light as a feather and slides nicely in your pocket.

Boker Anso 67 Mokuti Ltd Edition

Boker Anso 67 Mokuti Ltd Edition Boker Anso 67 Mokuti Ltd Edition

Man, i've got a thing for Jens Anso's 67 design. Boker has made it available for us mortals in the form of the Boker 67. There have been a few different versions so far, but this uber limited Mokuti version is by far the best. Limited to only 50 pieces, this is the one to get. Unfortunately, completely sold out in Germany.

I'm hopeful they will do another run for the rest of the world or do a bolstered version with blue mokuti.  how awesome would that be?

KINGDOM ARMORY Super Bill the Butcher Folder

Kingdom Armory Super BtB-F

Check out the very first Kingdom Armory Super BtB-F (Bill the Butcher Folder). It's #5 in a run of only 10, but the first one to be finished. Blue anodized sculpted titanium scales with contrasting black hardware and a satin finish blade. The first version of BtB-F is about 7" OAL, but this Super version clocks in over 8" long. Grail material. The current waitlist for KA is about a year and a half and he just closed the books. Looking forward to seeing the other nine.

Microtech Giant Halo Review by The Edge Observer.

haha. this is pretty cool. not only for the ridiculous Microtech Halo, but mostly for the semi-serious review by knife review site The Edge Observer

Written, filmed and edited by Ben Petersen. Narration and post-production color by Andrew Gene of the Edge Observer.

Thank you to Andrew for his willingness to collaborate on this project. When I pitched this idea to him, he was totally on board with a parody of his style and he offered valuable advice to make it look good. He is extremely talented and having his insight and expertise on this project was crucial. In post, he worked color miracles with the footage I sent him. If you're not familiar with his work, it's worth your time to check it out: www.edgeobserver.com. He is running the classiest outfit in the knife community.

HUMONGOUS Microtech Halo V

I seriously thought this was a hoax. But it's NOT..! Yours for $9k. On sale now at BladeHQ

The Marfione Custom HALO V 3X would make an impressive centerpiece for any Microtech collection. As the name implies, the Giant Halo 5 is three times the size of the Regular Halo V! This HALO V 3X has a hand ground tanto blade, stonewashed and almost 14 inches long. The handle is black anodized aluminum with the Marfione Dagger up front. The blade is retracted using the heat anodized titanium draw bar.

The HALO V 3X comes in a huge Pelican 1700 case with a custom stainless steel plate on front labeled: "A. MARFIONE HALO V 3X 06/2012".

ZERO TOLERANCE 0888: Knife of the Year

246438_10151058372281282_788683742_n

ZERO TOLERANCE is on fire right now. Seems like they can do no wrong. Right on the heels of one of the most successful production folders with the ZT0560 plus the highly anticipated ZT0777, they blew everyone away again at the BLADE Show with this prototype of their upcoming ZT0888. It won overall Knife of the Year. No word on ETA or price, but i'm guessing it will be a bout a year before we get it into our grimey hands. I'm thinking $300-$350 for price. It's quite a large folder.

TAD Gear Production Dauntless

TAD Gear Dauntless
TAD Gear Dauntless

Oh, man, the wait is almost over. Although we still don't have a release date yet, specs and price were announced this morning for the first ever TAD Gear Production Dauntless:

Last month we hinted that a production Dauntless was on its way. We’re pleased to report that things are currently on schedule as we near the home stretch. The above image are knives pulled from the production line, with blades ground, logos etched and for the first run, serial numbers to mark the occasion. All that’s left is to sharpen the edge and add the pocket clip.

The TAD Dauntless will feature:
• 3.6” S30V blade
• 8.2” overall length
• Available in Black G10, Ranger Green G10 and Titanium
• Price: $300/G10 and $400/Titanium

Note the bottom two knives are prototypes.

When one thinks about "works of art", this latest project from Jens Anso definitely applies. It's his most complicated and ornate folder ever made. Chad Nickols Damascus blade and Moku-Ti inserts. Insanely beautiful. Easily talking at $3k knife here.
