Battlegrip Does Resin

Battlegrip Does Resin

Fellow toy blogger Philip Reed of battlegrip.com is doing resin toys now. He's got two styles of monsters that are not articulated and then some Glyos Mutants using parts from the Onell Design universe. I like the crazy proportions, the size...only 3.5" to 5" for the Glyos mash-ups. Beautiful paint applications with the washes that showcase all the wonderful and creepy textures. Cool...

These are made of toy parts and sculpey. I created one, made a mold and cast it, and then ended up taking a bad cast and building off of it to create the second design. I've got a dozen of the resin monsters done -- standing at 3.5-inches and single-piece resin (no articulation) -- and I'll be posting them to my site for sale on Sunday.

These will be $40 (US) and $50 (foreign). (Prices include shipping.) I'm letting people "pre-order" now by e-mailing me or posting in the comments section at my site. First come, first served. So far 6 of the 12 have been claimed.

No name yet, but I'm leaning toward "Unidentified Monstrous Organisms (UMO)" for the title behind the series of toys using this basic design.
