This past weekend, Usugrow's Shinganist show was held at the Tokyo Hipsters Club and aside from all the amazing art from Usugrow, Mozykey, Toshi Nozaka, Bene and Jun Kaneko, there was a prototype of a new figure based on Usugrow's Hasadhu illustration. Very ambitious project as you might imagine. According to sources, Hasadhu will be at least 12" tall and it is uncertain if it will be made out of vinyl or more likely a cold-cast resin statue. I'm torn on this one. I love the illustration, but i'm not quite sure how it translates into a figure. I'm ok with it being a statue and I like the size, but the devil is in the details. There will be Usugrow's trademark lettering on the shaft of the giant brush and on the base.
