Announcing the DARKNESS SKULLWING! This super limited colorway will be released on May 3rd at ASTRO ZOMBIES in Osaka, Japan. DARKNESS will be made of opague black vinyl with dark grey / metallic silver and dark metallic silver paints with the ASTRO ZOMBIES tampo on the pants front. Packed with a PUSHEAD designed header card...and an ASTRO ZOMBIES sticker.
I was able to get my hands on this factory paint sample of the new DARKNESS SKULLWING by Pushead x Astro Zombies x Secret Base. PLEASE NOTE, this is NOT the final appearance of the figure. Instead of silver paint on the wings, it will have the same color paint as the shorts.
I have to say that these pictures really don't do this figure justice. The color on the shorts and the same will be on the wings is amazing. I have no idea what color it is, but it's a rose / brown / gold color. Just amazing in person. Definitely the most striking part of my favorite toy. The combination on opaque black vinyl with silver accents is very subtle, extremely classy. Like something one might find in the interior of a Rolls Royce.
Before anyone freaks out and starts sending me emails, I don't get to keep the factory sample so don't ask for it.
Here are pics of the final version courtesy of the Secret Base website. I know a lot of people would prefer not to have the AZ logo on the front, but I don't mind.
