PUSHEAD x ASTRO ZOMBIES x SECRET BASE "Andy Too" Super Festival 57

Finally got around to taking some shots of the amazing "Andy Too" from Super Festival 57 a few weeks ago. Check out the back story on the Andy Too HERE. The big surprise at SF 57 was that there was a secret marbled blue and GID chase colorway and it's amazing. Interesting side note, due to the marbling production, the texture of the toy is almost like sandstone. It's quite nice to hold. I like the color-coordinate buttons that Andy made as well. Skullwings rule.

PUSHEAD x ASTRO ZOMBIES X SECRET BASE "The Andy Too" Patchwerk Japan SKULLWING

More pics of the "Andy Too" Skullwing exclusive for Super Festival 57 coming up. A sibling to the "Andy" Black and GID marbled Skullwing from SDCC 2011, the Andy Too is brown and GID marbled. The story goes that Andy gave one to Funnyara from Astro Zombies and he liked it so much that he wanted to do another version for Super Festival. Were glad he did.

So who is this Andy guy? Well, Friends and Skullbrainers alike know him better as ScaryAndy. And just by looking at his picture, you can tell why. He's a Brit you see and a scary one at that. Yeah, yeah, but why does he get not one, but two awesome Skullwings named after him? Just speculating here, but aside from being a really cool bloke (he's really not that scary), he's a HARDCORE PUSHEAD fan. Last year, his plane was delayed from the UK and he missed much of the PUSHEAD action at SDCC 2010. This last year he came back, flew even earlier to ensure he didn't miss anything, and along the way got to help design a Skullwing. I think it's awespme that PUSHEAD would do that for a weird, albeit not scary dude who talks funny.

"THE ANDY" SKULLWING SUPER FESTIVAL 57 VERSION

Astro Zombies master Funnyara was so excited by the Skullwing that (Scary)Andy had created for the Patchwerk event @ SDCC, that after SDCC was over,he made the unexpected request to see if it was possible to make one for Japan. So Andy once again came up with a colorway....creating 'The Andy 2' Skullwing! Which is poured dark rusty brown vinyl marbled with glow in the dark vinyl, in a super limited production run for Superfestival 57 Tokyo, Japan
September 25 2011. Only available at the Astro Zombies table! Will come with 3 buttons designed by Andy also.

Unpainteds are Good

I don't collect unpainted toys. In fact, when I do get unpainted toys, I have a compulsion to paint them. But here we have an example where less is more. A flock of unpainted Skullwings. My all time favorite sculp and one of the toys that got me hooked on this ridiculous obsession. Not to worry purists, my airbrush won't be going anywhere near these guys. I almost didn't want them to come out of their bags. Thanks again pj.
