We went to the SHINGANIST show at Upper Playground on Saturday and it did not disappoint. It's cool to see Usugrow blowing up and getting his friends involved in this group show. We discovered Usugrow through Pushead and now we meet other artists like Mozyskey, TOSHIKAZU-NOZAKA, BENE and JUN KANEKO through Usugrow. It feels very Zen.

This painting is by Toshikazu Nozaka. Does it somehow look familiar? 3 Eyes on a wave? Why does that ring a bell? Well, Toshi is the same guy that designed the Odoron produced by Gargamel. When I asked him about it, he was surprised and happy to know that we were familiar with the toy. I love his work just as much as Usugrow's and I hope he designs more toys.
This is by Mozyskey. I also dig his work very much. Sadly, I did not to meet him at the show as I understand he was running wild on the streets. I think the Lower Haight can do that to you...

This lady walked up and wanted to know what all the writing said on the door. Usugrow tried to explain what everything meant and she kinda shrugged and said, "oh, cool.." She then proceeded to put her key in the door and walk up the stairs to her apartment. lol..!

Speaking of Francisco, he just finished sticking this Ducati on display. It's painted by Sam Flores and I believe it's for a charity auction of some kind. Sick.
