SUPER7 ART SHOW: TOXIC COATED CUSTOMS by Paul Kaiju

TOXIC_front

Fellow Flickr Buddy and Vinyl Fanatic Paul Kaiju is having his own show at Super 7 next week showcasing his INCREDIBLE custom painted vinyl kaiju (monsters). Paul takes your normal vinyl monsters and air brushes galatic glittery colors to make the toy equivalent of custom hot rod!! Check out that metal flake on the glitter green Ghostfighter. toybot studios will be at Super 7 to meet Paul in person and check out his figures. It would be great to walk away the owner of the glitter green Ghostfighter or the spacey-looking purple-fleck Blobus, but I have the feeling that these little bundles of custom-painted vinyl yumminess are not going to be cheap. Hell, the figures alone before any painting are just under $100!! Anytime you add the word "custom" in front of anything, it's going to cost a pretty penny. On the other hand, you cheap bastards, we ARE talking about ART here. How much would you be willing to pay for a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork? When you put it in those terms, no matter what you end up paying, it sounds better...hopefully...to my wife!

Hope to see you guys at Super 7!!

Friday June 23rd 7-9pm
