Check out this new Samus Phazon Suit statue from First4Figures.com. Very cool looking with the fancy lighting. At $224, lemme start with what I don't like: It's about $124 more than i'd like to pay. It's a statue. You can't really play with it. It's stuck in the same pose. When the LEDs are off, it doesn't turn me on any longer. I never played Metroid as a kid that much. Samus is a chick but looks like a dude in that suit. It's all very confusing. Now here is what I do like about this thing: Chicks in armored suits are hot. LEDs are cool and make for a great night light. The contrasting red LED for the suit and blue LED for the blaster is beautiful. I wish I played Metroid more. It comes with a disco mirror base so you can see all the LED armored chick hotness from any angle. kinky.
In summary, if you're into Metroid, dig statues, like LEDs and would drop $224 right before SDCC, this is the figure for you.
We completely reengineered the original Varia suit model to make the Phazon suit by casting it entirely in transparent resin, adding over 25 LED lights through the suit and finished it off by adding a mirror base which really shows off the lights. When the lights are turned off, an internal IC chip allows for the lights to fade out slowly. The statue is hand finished and hand painted with metallic paints to give an authentic representation of the suits. Comes packed in a foam interior full colored box with a card of authenticity. The Phazon Suit is highly limited at just 1500 pieces worldwide.
