Lulubell at SDCC 2014

Lulubell SDCC 2014

Ah, Lulubell how I love thee. One of my favorite toy crews. Amy, Luke, Dave and the rest of the gang are crazy, weird, awesome and they make cool toys.

Bella Muerta by Evil Dave x Grody Shogun. I really like the paint application on these guys. Evil Dave did an amazing job. His tattoo skills translate well to vinyl. I purchased this first one below.

Neo Japan by RESTORE.  I wasn't feeling this toy until I saw it in person. I just found it odd that he would have this Guyver suit with no helmet.  He's a Yakuza with a giant sword (with a chisel grind) wearing a Guyver type suit.  A helmet would have been awesome but that would cover up the amazing and i mean amazing paint application on the head. it's superb. The level of detail on this figure is insane. The sword has a tiny peg that flips out so you can insert into a hole on is back for easy transport.

Justin Hateball with his new figure ZineWolf in conjunction with Luke.  I'm a big fan of Justin's and this figure is really interesting. It has a giant head that sits on top of a smaller figure and uses magnets to secure it.  The marbled vinyl and concept are really great.

I kept on referring to this figure as a grandma. Justin said it's actually him wearing the same beanie. But to the casual observer, it looks like granny glasses and hair in a bun, right?

Also apologies in advance for any artist that had their toys at Lulubell and I didn't capture either the toys or their name. Lulubell constantly changed their tables several times a day so it's a bit hard to keep up.
