One of the new sites I have been frequenting is Kaiju Taro. It has all the Japanese vinyl that you could ask for and then some. The only problem is that Japanese vinyl is so hot right now, by the time something new pops up on Kaiju Taro, it's usually sold out. This sucks. Most of this kind of stuff comes in really small runs of like 50-100 pieces. That's not a lot to go around. Making matters worse is that most of the different colorways can only be purchased at one of these toy shows. I have to admit that it does make collecting this stuff more fun.
One of these toy festivals that was going on in Japan recently was Wonderfestival. They like them scantily clad female figures with swords and guns and what not, very, very much over in Japan, but you will see the requisite Gundam and mecha figures and kits here and there...Also as you can see from the pics taken by the Daigo and the crew over at Kaiju Taro, there is also a good deal of Japanese vinyl to be had. Some of this stuff can be found on Yahoo Japan Auctions, but expect to pay more...plus fees and shipping. Don't get me started. Just do yourself and your wallet a favor and don't start collecting Japanese vinyl! Don't say I didn't warn ya ;0)
