Hot Toys Appleseed Snap Kits Trading Figures

Here's a set i've been waiting to show up for a while now. It's a case of ten (10) Appleseed Trading Figures by Hot Toys. The trading figures are blind box and you assemble the parts together hence the name "Snap Kits". The reason why I purchased a case was to get the Landmate Armor. Each trading figure comes with one or two parts of the Landmate that you then can assemble. The trading figures are around 4-5 inches tall, highly detailed and have lots of ariculation. I wouldn't describe them as your normal run of the mill trading figures. But the real money is with the Landmate. At 8-9 inches tall, ss you are putting this guy together, you know you have a nice toy. Probably one of the nicest toys i've had on my desk in a long time. This guy is hefty, contains some die-cast even! Highly detailed with a wonderful paint application in metallic blue with black and red highlights. The grooves are even painted in white to give it a very polished finish. The cockpit even opens to show Deunan Knute piloting it! A really beautiful toy that I would never expect to see in a case of normal trading figures.

The case costs $129. You are pretty much guaranteed to get all the parts for the Landmate. For 10 figures, that's $12.99 each. I would probably pay $80 for the Landmate alone. The question is the ten other figures worth the extra $50? Well, you have to have Briarios and Deunan of course. Both are very nice and highly detailed. So that puts you just over $105. The extra eight figures include a couple of doubles and the rest of the squad. More than I would want to pay, but overall, I would probably do it again just to get this Landmate.
