I was lurking about Super7 the other day and since i'm there all the time, I notice anything new pretty quickly. But it wasn't just that these little guys were new that caught my eye. They are papercraft figures called Piperoids designed by Japanese artist Takashi Tsunoda. They don't look like flimsy paper toys when you first inspect them. At first glance, they look like real action figures almost. Striking mecha designs in any case. While papercraft toys are cool and all, you don't download and print Piperoids. They come in pre-printed card stock tubes that you cut and assemble like a model. The card stock is very sturdy and I gotta tell ya, these little guys are pretty fun and posable! At $15 for a set of two, they are not cheap, but I would take these guys over a blind-box toy any day! If you check out the site, you will see other "Classic" models that will be re-released at the end of the month. Then you can collect the entire PIPEROID army!!
Smoke & Bill,Ninja Mates
Smoke is always serious and hard-working. His desire to master ninja techniques in a quiet and peaceful environment is often interrupted by Bill who babbles all day long. Leader of the hard rock band 'Guyzer & Hell Brothers', anyone who's heard his music love his tunes hands down - or so he dreams. Currently he's looking for additional members in his band, as apprentice Bean is his only fan at this time.
Penk & Goriborg, Doctor and His Robot
Dr. Penk is a little genius doctor. Always devoting himself to research, he shows no interest in fame despite many fans calling him "So cute!!". On the other hand, there is Goriborg, a robot built by Dr. Penk. As a Super Robot, he was built with the mission of invading the Earth under Dr. Penk's command. However things aren't working as expected so far...

His work PIPEROID aims to guide the user into contemplating the world, through craft. He makes craft kits for adults, to get them to rethink the responsibility that should be involved in the process of creating things, especially because we live in an age in which creating things is so easy. Try to feel the strong messages that are embodied in his cute designs.
