Fans of Super Robot Wars have reason to rejoice as we have not one, but two very cool sets coming out in May and June. The first is IMO, one of the most interesting Bandai Soul of Chogokin sets to come out in a long while. It's Dygenguar and Aussenseiter in all the fine SOC updated engineering and die-cast goodness. You put Dygenguar with his ginormous sword on top of the transformable Aussenseiter in horse mode and man, do you have a toy! I can almost hear the SOC joint rachets..! This set isn't gonna be cheap though. With essentially two figures one of which is transformable, this set is gonna set you back almost $300 before shipping. Ouch! Definitely not a recession toy..! Due out in June.
Now this next set is really interesting. It's a Super Deformed Dygenguar and Aussenseiter action figure set from MegaHouse. Thank God they are not kits! All the coolness and even transformability as it's larger sibling, but at 1/3 the size and 1/3 the cost! It's SWR to meet everyone's budget! I like the scale and all the details like the teeny tiny pilots. Aussenseiter also transforms into a horse for maximum playability. For around $110 for the set or you can buy each individually, this isn't exactly cheap either, but i'm planning on getting my SWR fix without having to blow $300 to do so. Due out in May.
