Pretty frickin cool. All the Batmobiles gathered at once. I'm a sucker for the OG '69, but I do like the Rambler.

On Friday evening, March 30th 2012, Warner Bros. shot a bonus feature segment for the “Dark Knight Rises” Blu-Ray. For the feature they gathered all 5 Batmobiles from television and movies.

The concept of the SPBD web series is to take two super powered legends and make them battle! Every month we will release a new episode, where viewers will be able to vote to determine the winner. The show is hosted by Marisha Ray, with two debaters, Damian Beurer and Andy Liegl. Together they battle with their sci-fi/fantasy knowledge and comic wit to see who they think the winner will be. In addition, experts from specific fields will guest star and contribute valuable information.

86Hero Hybrid Metal Figuration Batman Preview...!!

86hero who seems to be more famous for Disney iPhone cases is previewing this rather interesting die-cast super deformed Batman figure. Comes complete with an LED Bat Signal, Batarang, extra hands, plastic cape and nylon cape with posable wire. 20 points of articulation, LED eyes. Shipping before the end of the year for around $100. Around 6 inches tall.

I like the retro colorway. I like the LEDs. I like the die-cast of course and I like that it's super deformed. This Batman is actually the 4th figure in their "Hybrid Metal" line up. The first three were Disney characters including a Mickey and Minnie Mouse and lastly a Mickey Mouse in a Woody Costume. Check back for more details.

Gangsta Super Heroes in the Forrest: Steve Seeley @ Rotofugi

Steve Seeley's "My God It's Good to See You" Show opened this weekend at Rotofugi. He has an unusual style that mixes Super Heroes as Gangstas in forrest settings on top of big animals.

Artist Bio
Chicago-based painter Steve Seeley may have a Master of Fine Arts from Ohio State University in printmaking, but it's his firm grasp of painting and pop culture that have made us fall in love with his art.

Steve's wide-ranging tastes in comic books, superheroes and Japanese monsters (kaiju) along with his ability to combine those with an array of floral and natural elements results in a disparate, though pleasing, amalgamation that never gets boring.

For this exhibit (his first solo exhibit at Rotofugi Gallery, though he has contributed to many of our group exhibits) Steve has obviously dipped into the comics and superheroes and added his usual touch of humor.

Leecifer Custom Devilman

Leecifer is the man. His style is all his own. He can take American Icons and impose them on Japanese toys and it comes out looking like it was designed that way. Case in point is this Marmit Devilman figure. If you had never seen Devilman, you would think that Batman looks exactly like this. The cape is hand-made out of several layers of plastic garbage bags. Lee is Green too! Hit him up for some commission work. He will make all your art and toy dreams come true.













The best part is that it came with a framed canvas painting...

Batman Icon's Mutation

Spied on GoHero Steve Forde's Facebook page. It shows how Batman's "Bat Symbol" has mutated over the years and various print, tv and movie incarnations. Very interesting because although i've seen each and every one of them at one time, I had no idea there are so many. And actually all quite distinct from the other.

This also gives me a chance to show off these incredibly cute Batman and Robin mini figures from Happy Beaver himself, Jeff Pigeon's private collection.

Bandai Batman Dark Knight and Batpod

First spied on ToysREvil, I saw this hyper detailed Batman Dark Knight and Batpod. Not really a Batman fan, but a sucker for cool toy motorcycles, I saw a prototype at SDCC and was impressed. For less than $100, you can get this crazy Batman figure and Batpod for your very own shelf. It's not 1/6 mind you, but more 6" action figure size. Very cool if you ask me.
