Would you spend $20,000 on a toy? In this economy, i'm not so sure I would spend $20,000 on a car, let alone a toy! Spied the other day on Tomopop.com, this $20k Mazinger Z was unveiled at Tamashii Nations last week. Apparently it's part of a new line of toys called "Urban Material Chogokin". One can only assume the target demographic is Bill Gates. At 24" tall, it's not a small toy. It costs $20k because it's made out of titanium carbon which will never scratch and is supposedly the same stuff on the bottom of the Space Shuttle. Finally a toy that I can bring into the sauna with me! Seriously, this thing is cool and all. Yes, I want one, but this is ridiculous. I mean, seriously, a $20,000 toy? c'mon. that's crazy talk. Whoever buys this, please email me. I have a diamond encrusted M1-Go Semi Ningen that I will sell to you for only $10k.

titanium-carbon or whatever, it looks just like the $70 mazinger from the SOC line--except it's a little bigger and stupider-looking (sorry, the titanium carbon doesn't look nice at all IMO)and way too expensive. If it had some gimmicks, like real rocket powered punches and the head ship was remote-control and could fly, that would be sweet.
