Max Toy Co recently announced it's San Diego Comic Con line-up which includes a couple of World Premieres, a set of mini's, new Edward the Gator colorway from Bwana Spoons and hopefully soon, we will get to see the Cronic! exclusives!! Things are looking very good from Max Toy Co.!!

Bwana Spoons at Double Punch!!!

Last Saturday was the release of Bwana Spoons Bloodbath Edward the Gator at Double Punch. The Gator was cool for sure and it was definitely nice to see Bwana, Omar, Aki and Mark Nagata, but I wanted to check out Bwana's customs. He didn't disappoint as he brought a whole forest of hand painted creatures including Edwards and Killers. I had my eye on this GID Edward with the light blue spray and almost pulled the trigger, but couldn't due to other toy committments later in the evening. At $200 bones, Bwana's customs are not cheap, but nothing handpainted is. If you like them hurry over to Bwana's site above and get one for yourself. Your collection will thank you for the fresh breath of karma coming from Bwana's toys. Just don't get the GID Edward with Blue Spray!

Bwana Spoons Edward the Gator Bloodbath Edition Sneak Peek!!!

As mentioned earlier, this week is big for toy releases. In particular, Bwana Spoons and Max Toy Co are releasing the 2nd colorway of the extremely popular Edward the Gator figure on Saturday, May 19th at 2:30pm at DoublePunch in San Francisco. Bwana will be there signing the "Bloodbath" edition as well as having some other custom Gargamel toys in his bag as well!! I somehow got a hold of the bloody Gator and was able to take these sneak peek shots! It's the best colorway so far IMO. Black with bright red/orange with gold spray. But I have to say up close, the 1st yellow slicker edition is quite stunning as well. The rain slicker is almost translucent. Both are beautiful and are bountiful with details such as a butterfly net and field bag that opens and closes!! Oh, btw, pom poms not included! That would be $5 extra. Killer Dragons From the West Photo Report from Kaiju-Taro!!!

Those purveyors of fine Japanese vinyl, Kaiju-Taro come back from Gargamel's Thrash Out retail store with these amazing pictures from the "Killer Dragons From the West" show featuring Bwana Spoons and tim Biskup!!!



From what I understand there was a line around the block trying to cram into this tiny store to grab a piece of handpainted Gargamel goodness!! Highlights from the show included Bwana's new Eriagon Hedoran, handpainted Edward the Gators, Steven the Bats as well as Biskup's GID Pollards - one with chicken pox! They also released an amazing clear pink set featuring Biskup's Dragamel and Bwana's Killer!! Must have!! Lastly, we also get to see for the first time Bwana's full size Dragamel sculp in the silver flake vinyl!!

Not only is Bwana shipping out his brand new "Killer" and hopefully soon to follow, Edward the Gator, but he's custom-painted a bunch of these figures for your buying pleasure!! Each around $200, but well worth the art investment IMO!!
