Gargamel Lucky Bags 2009!!

I think Gargamel killed it this year with their Lucky Bags. What the heck are Lucky Bags? Every New Year, some Japanese toy makers sell blind "Lucky Bags" that are sealed and you don't really know what you're gonna get. I believe traditionally the intention is to get rid of older stock that didn't sell during the year. It's a Grab Bag. Some good stuff and some not so good stuff.

Bucking the tread is Gargamel who usually produces new toys or colorways specifically for their Lucky Bags. This year was no exception and i'm really glad that I was able to get one from Super7 today.

Here is one of the main reasons I purchased the Lucky Bag: Clear with gold fleck Gatchamecha with gold inner. Goldschlag anyone?

And the big surprise which made the bag: Biskup Pocket Helper! Wowie!! Glenn noticed it's not the same clear purple color as previous Pocket Minis, but slightly more pink. Beautiful.

Now this is a nice collaboration: Premiere Customizing Guru LASH with a Limited Production run of clear purple Smoking Stars by Killer J. LASH made some one-offs plus a few sets. Unfortunately, all the one-offs are sold, but there are still three sets left so head over to LASH's blog and claim yours. Each one comes with LEDs inside that blink when you tap them.

Kinda like this if you remember the Birthday Smoking Star Killer J sent me for guessing his correct age!

Itokin Park x One Up Rainbow Mikazukin Sale!!!! Lulubell Toys Exclusive Pink Colorway!

Looks like we will be getting many more Itokin Park Mikazukin. Eight to be specific and in a rainbow of colors. Only 30 of each colorway to be sold at One Up and other retailers including some in the states.

Lulubell Toys has announced that it has exclusive rights to sell the Pink version. There are only 30 pieces, but if you PRE ORDER before 5pm on Wednesday, January 7th, you will be entered into a drawing to have the right to purchase an un-painted pink version. These are $70 each. Mikazukins are sooo cute, they are cool.

On a very important side note, spied on Toycyte, Jesse was recently featured in Sports Illustrated! No, not for his game, but his love for Pitbulls. Specifically some of the very same Pitbulls from Michael Vick's fighting arena. For 9 years, Jesse and his wife, Bernice have been rescuing Pitbulls. wow, congratulations Jesse!

Balzac x Shocker Worldwide x Hello Kitty??!!

Yes, it's true. Apparently your daughter's favorite Kitty from Japan is also into hard core punk rock. Balzac specifically. In a crazy, yet totally understandable collaboration, Balzac, Sanrio and Medicom have come together to produce this unholy toy. It will be sold through Shocker World Wide. Although this Hello Kitty is wearing the trademark Balzac Skeleton suit and bullhorn, her all too cute facial quality remains. It will be approximately 7" tall and be available for pre-order soon through the Shocker WW web site. Cost is $70 and will be shipping in April.
