Lost Planet 2 Action Figures by Kotobukiya

When I first saw this picture the other night, I didn't know or care where it came from, all I knew is that I would be buying it (as long as it wasn't a kit). So when I realized that it was a highly detailed action figure by Kotobukya for the upcoming Lost Planet 2 video game, I got all giddy like school girl. I friggin love Walkers. Especially personal walker suits like this one.



Now this one, i'm not so crazy about and didn't purchase. I think if it wasn't white, I might have given it a chance, but for whatever reason, i'm not feeling the color and the nutty no-head design.





You can pre-order both on sale for around 3,350 yen at Ami Ami. Due out in May when the Lost Planet 2 game is released.





Now for a new trailer for Lost Planet 2. I'm getting pretty fucking psyched up for this game based on these trailers. All I have to say is that if the actual game play is half as sick as what we see here, we have a surefire winner.

New Zoids 1/72 Iron Kong!!

Not really a Zoids collector myself, but this 1/72 Iron Kong is the one that could turn me into a true believer. Sadly it's a "Highend Master Model" kit made by Kotobukiya which explains the nice matte airbrush finish and detailing. This is supposedly the largest kit in the series and sports all kinds of crazy details like the opening cockpit and individual finger articulation. Look for it in December for around $100. International Toy Pirates Obtain Exclusive License From Lucasfilm, Ltd. to release Jumbo Stormtrooper.


July 23, 2008 (San Francisco, CA) – Super7, designer vinyl toy innovator, has obtained a license from Lucasfilm, Ltd. to manufacture the first ever jumbo-style Stormtrooper. The Jumbo Stormtrooper is a knee high, missile-firing collectible figure made of blown polyethylene. It even has tiny hidden wheels! The Super7 Jumbo Stormtrooper captures the original jumbo style of the 1970’s and introduces a new lexicon to the Star Wars universe.

Finished product samples of the Jumbo Stormtrooper will be made available to the public as early as September.

The Jumbo Stormtrooper will be a very limited production for a Star Wars project. The estimated retail price of the Jumbo Stormtrooper is $350. Only 1,000 units will be sold in the United States, and based on previous launches, the Stormtrooper is estimated to sell out with people still waiting in line. Kotobukiya Super Robot Wars OG Alteisen Trading Figure

I've had this Kotobukiya Super Robot War OG Alteisen figure on my desk for a while now. For a "Trading Figure", I have to say, it's quite detailed and hefty! I love figures with display stands!! It's really a small action figure well worth the price IMO. Only about 4 inches tall, It normally comes in a set with two other Mechs, but the downside is that the set also comes with these three chick figures which are not that interesting. The Alteisen is definitely the best of the three, but I wouldn't mind have the other two which include the Huckebein MKII and the Cybuster. I was lucky enough to get this single Alteisen from the cool guys at Tokyo Fantasy, but if you want a full case, you will have to go to Hobby Link Japan. The case is 10 figures for $52 USD not including shipping. If anyone is interested in splitting a case so I can get the other two mechs, lemme know.....seriously, this Alteisen figure is worth it....
