Toys on the Street by Tatsurus

I enjoy great toy photography. flickr buddy tatsurus posted up some winners. Set on the streets of Tokyo. I like the long exposure so you can see the car lights. Butanohana are great toys for models. Just interesting to look at!

If You Were Superboy, Here is What You Would See: X-RAY Toys

XRAY Toys

Stuart sez, "This Flickr gallery shows highlights from Scan Toys, an exhibit currently at Buenos Aires Centro Cultural Recoleta. The artists used X-rays to produce these and the resulting images are beautiful, with a hint of social commentary."

Vintage Toy Photography with Hipstamatic iPhone App

Fun with Hipstamatic iPhone

No, I don't own an iPhone, but my buddy Autopsy does. He showed us the fun things you can do with his iPhone App called Hipstamatic which essentially makes your pictures look so bad, they look really cool and vintage. Kinda like those old plastic cameras from way back when. I think these pictures are really interesting.

Picture(s) of the Week!!!! Corey A. Edwards

viras

This week, we discover the whimsical Kaiju humor of one Corey A. Edwards also a longtime Skullbrain boardmember with the handle CAE. He shows us what normal, mundane life might be like if we had real life Kaiju running around...all in all, doesn't seem that much out of the ordinary! Self described writer, musician, artist, photographer, web and graphic designer, patineur and dilettante when he finds the time! Check out his site Corey's Head for many more very cool Kaiju photography and even some short stories!!

Toy Picture(s) of the Week!!!!

568433718_19caecfbde 400x316

This week, toybot studios is graced with fellow toy blogger, collector, photographer and all-around nice guy, Akum6n from Robot Loves Monsters!!!!

I'm totally jealous cause not only did he already receive his Walder BLObPUS set, he got the entire set!! The Walder colorway in this purple, black and silver combo is an all-time favorite classic and really applies well to any toy. The Walder reference comes from the King Walder Henshin Cyborg toy....All these toys look so yummy, I want to pop them in my mouth like gummy bears!!! Great shots Daniel! Keep up the amazing work!

Toy Picture of the Week!!!

542825975_765a7e7f7b

This Bemon pic comes from the grand master kaiju collector, Glenn Pogue!! I didn't realize he had such artful skillz with the camera. One of the coolest pics I've seen in a while. If I understand it correctly, there are a bunch of gashapon inside the bemon...

Toy Picture of the Week!!!

rox031

There are a ton of really great toy photographers around. I am fortunate to see really interesting shots almost every day. I'm gonna try to start showcasing off some of these shots on a weekly basis if possible. If you have a great shot, lemme know!! Michael from Skullbrain shows off his camera skillz with this beautiful back-list shot of a clear pink Biskup Dragamel who looks like he's breathing fire amongst his troops of radio-active zombie ninjas!! Funny thing about this shot, everyone wanted to know where the gummy ninjas came from. Michael tells us that he won them as prizes playing video games at Chuck E. Cheese!! So friggin rad!! Thanks Michael!
