Touma x Phalanx Studio x Go Nagai-X: Power Mazinger Z Coming August 13th..!!

I finally got a chance to check out the upcoming Power Mazinger-Z from Touma x Phalanx Studio x Go Nagai-X at the DKE Booth at SDCC. It's a winner for sure. It will be released initially August 13th at the Street Fashion Festival and available in the US through your local retailers connected with DKE.

Check out these new pics of the Touma x Mr. Powers x Go NagaiX: Power Mazinger Z..!! What's interesting in these pics are that you can get a sense for how large this figure really is. Originally I was thinking 7-8" inches tall since I believe Mr. Power is 8" tall. But now I'm thinking it's 10-11" tall. Rumor is that this toy will be released in August? If true, it's unfortunate cause it sounds like production issues got in the way of a STGCC and/or SDCC release.

Remember that post late last year about the upcoming Touma x Mr. Power x Go Nagai Power Mazinger Z? Looks like this box art and new banner tease that this toy will be coming out soon. I'ma huge Mazinger Fan and although not a fan of Mr. Power, I do like this stylized version of Mazinger. The intricate flame job really makes this toy stand out. Blue, Red and DIY versions? Sounds good. I'll take one of each. Maybe in time for SDCC and/or STGCC this year? Would be nice.

I will admit to not being a big fan of Phalanix Studio Mr. Power toy. It seems un-inspired and generic. But I do like this collaboration with Touma on this Power Mazinger homage. Not only is the sculpt awesome, but the custom paint jobs amazing. sign me up..!
