On Friday, July 15, Corey Helford Gallery will debut “Idle Hands,” the highly-anticipated solo exhibition of pop artist COOP, and his most audacious yet. COOP’s new body of work is rendered in his signature style—self-described as “hillbilly sex crime pop art”—and features the bold colors and subject matter he is known for but with a decidedly bawdier bent. “Pulp magazines, more overt sexuality and a little more deliberate provocation are on display this time around,” COOP says of the full-fi gured muses, bodacious backsides and sexed-up superheroes featured in “Idle Hands.”

Sadly I was not able to attend the bash, but thanks to a few good people, we have some shots from what looks like to be a great fundraiser for the Japan Relief Effort including the Japan Red Cross Society. $1,710 was raised already on Saturday..!!! Be sure to check out the auction on eBay starting April 6th and going for 10 days.

Hopefully by now you have all heard about our Coop “Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell” show, opening this Friday, June 4th. The legendary COOP will be using our Brooklyn shop’s Gallery space to showcase his work with the NagNagNag’s Boryoku Genjin Kaiju figure.

And we couldn’t have a show based around the Boryoku Genjin Kaiju figure without actually having a special one released at the show itself now could we? If you’re still contemplating that to yourself, the answer is that we couldn’t…



We will be releasing a special edition of the Boryoku Genjin in both our NYC & LA stores. (Sorry, no online sales). The first version is limited to just 10 pieces worldwide.

This guy is called the 淫力魔人 or RAW POWER Boryoku Genjin. I am sure a few of you can figure out exactly why that is… at least I hope so? But that’s not all bwahahahahahaha!!!



Th header card art for this edition of the Boryoku Genjin marke the third time i’ll have worked with the world’s most (in)famous toy ruiner extraordinaire, the super talented Lamour Supreme!

This header artwork (above and below) is just for the regular RAW POWER release. We’ll save the header of the +3 FIRE STARTER version for everyone that makes it in on Friday for the show. All I’ll say is that it’ll take you back to Endor, and everyone loves Endor!
