Monstock Collaborations

Maybe you've seen some, maybe you haven't, but whatever Isao San of Monstock decides to make is pretty much amazing. Dude is crazy. This is the toy makers toy maker. He isn't guided by what's hot or how to touch the most current flavor. No, this dude makes the stuff that he wants to play with. Here are just a few things that prove my point;

Monstock x Minoru Sugiama Moai Robo



This figure has everything that makes toys fun; two sided head, cute and clunky robot body, perfect size at about a little over 6 inches and it's black. It's the right amount of fun and evil. This is the second figure with Minoru Sugiama. His first is Pabarasu, a large and in charge birdly beast. Rumor has it that there will be a third in the series, think giant evil frog.

Next up is Softo San, or Mr. Soft serve ice cream to us. Starting his life in resin form, this new vinyl version has all the charm and is about 20% bulkier. You can expect many different flavors. So far there are vanilla, strawberry, squid ink and my favorite, clear.



The last are from nature loving artist, Tanaka Shinpei. Neither Gaton nor Kameron have seen an official release as of yet, but you can be assured they will soon.




Be sure to follow Monstock closely as 2010 is going to be their year.--
