Transparent Screen

So I was surfing around on Engadget and saw they did an article on these wacky things called Transparent Screens. I had never seen such photographic trickery before, so I clicked through and came to this site called flickr which is a photo hosting site with a twist. It's really an online photgraphic community of sorts where you can upload your photos and share them with folks with similar interests by adding "tags" which are then indexed and searchable by the community. It's pretty cool as I found a few groups dedicated to toys with some very cool toy photography not to mention the Transparent Screen group.

Within a short while, I was able to sign up, upload a few pics, join some toy groups and create this wacky transparent screen thinga-ma-jig. You essentially take a picture of what's behind your laptop, then make that picture your desktop picture. Getting the alignment and color right is a bit tricky, but not too bad for my first try.

Check out the following Toy Groups on flickr:
Toys
kidrobot
Comic Book Toys
Secret Life of Toys
