300th Issue of Wolverine by Geof Darrow. Colored by Alex Wald

Colored by our own Alex Wald.

On sale in January from Marvel Comics is the 300th issue of Wolverine, starring the enduringly popular X-Man known for performing decidedly unpleasant tasks at levels of excellence that exceed those of other individuals. Written by Jason Aaron and featuring artwork by Adam Kubert, the extra-sized issue sees Wolverine return to Japan where he will encounter his daughter, a new Silver Samurai, and a villain whom Marvel promises will be Logan's most dangerous enemy yet.

Because Wolverine in Japan invokes in one's mind all sorts of fantastical images, Marvel recruited Geof Darrow to draw every single one of them in a wraparound cover that will be available as a variant edition of Wolverine #300. Check with your local comics shop to get the cover, and click after the jump to see Darrow's latest work in all its ultra-high-resolution, ultra-violent glory.

CURE Mini THORN BALL MAN and T-Shirt

The mini toy and t-shirt combo pack are in full effect in Japan. This time it's CURE with the uber-popular THORN BALL MAN in mini form. Since it's probably made by SECRET BASE, i'm goin to guess it's around 4" tall as well. I would like to see a bunch of different colorways like the Devilman sets. This all black set can be ordered for only ¥4,000 at 5YP. Thanks for the heads up gomora63!

Troy Stith x Onell Designs Custom Bio-Buildman Pre-Order

Customizer Troy Stith has an interesting collaboration with Onell's Buildman figure. Not only has he customized Buildman to be this bio-organic creature, he's selling each part individually so you can buy what you really want or need. I wish he would have a few painted up to show off the sculpting.

The complete Bio-Buildman is $25 and the body parts range from $2-$4 a piece.

Here's the story behind the Bio-Buildmen thus far:

Hailing from the murky marshes of Sesar IV, the Bio-Buildman are an organically reptilian race of hunters. Upon hatching, they're left to tend to themselves. While young, the Bio-Buildman live on instinct that turns to cunning shrewdness as they age. Each Bio-Buildman's carapace armor and weaponry grows specifically to the survival needs of each individual.

The planet of Sesar IV is full of ever-changing alliances of Bio-Buildman. But one thing remains clear to all who've tried to lay their claim to Sesar IV, the Bio-Buildman will unite and crush any foe that encroaches on their territory.

Their story will continue to unfold as more characters are developed and released. While I plan on doing colorways of this first Bio-Buildman, those details will come later.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Trailer

From the Spike Video Game Awards 2011 comes this trailer for the upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Once The JarJar Binks of video games, but since rehabilitated into pure bad-ass ninja... Raiden gets his own cybernetic ninja slicing video game. While the slice and dice action looks ultra sweet, i'm concerned about repetitive game play. Release date TBA
