Bounty Hunter x Ollie Magazine Leathers....

If I had an extra $1,000 lying around, pretty good bet it would go towards one of these leather jackets by Bounty Hunter. These are in collaboration with Japanese fashion magazine Ollie. They rule but too rich for my blood as they go for 81,900 yen. Ballers and fashionistas alike can purchase theirs at Ollie Magazine

Brandon Peat's A is for Ackbar...!!!

via: Brandon Peat

When my wife Emma and I found out we were pregnant with our first child, Tycho, we began thinking of fun ways to decorate a baby boy’s room. Since we live in an apartment and aren’t allowed to paint the walls, that meant posters or prints of some kind. And, being artists, we naturally wanted to create those prints ourselves. In the end, we decided to illustrate an alphabet of characters from one of our favorite franchises – Star Wars.

Selecting each letter was a lengthy process. The characters who made the cut are primarily from the Original Trilogy (no Prequel characters here!), with a few from the Expanded Universe of books, comics, and video games. We also tried to keep the illustrations as non-violent as possible (in the words of Wuher, “No blasters!”) for maximum kid-friendliness.

I sketched the basis for each character in pencil, which Emma then rendered and colored in Illustrator – it was very much a collaborative process. The project was her idea, even...man I love having a nerdy wife.

While nerdy Star Wars parents might think this would be the perfect way to teach their children the Alphabet, the problem is that these characters mean more when the kids know them. Kids learn the alphabet at around 2-3 years old and pretty sure they are not going to be into watching the original trilogy. Too scary..! Nonetheless, it's still cool.

for the entire alphabet, hit the jump to light speed...!!!

Touma x Phalanx Studio Power Mazinger...!!

I will admit to not being a big fan of Phalanix Studio Mr. Power toy. It seems un-inspired and generic. But I do like this collaboration with Touma on this Power Mazinger homage. Not only is the sculpt awesome, but the custom paint jobs amazing. sign me up..!

Tattoo Royale Launches Web Store...!!!!

Talented Tattoo artists by day and awesome garage toy makers at night, GUF, Milton and Droopy launch an online store packed with original resin toys, art and t-shirts. They plan on keeping it stocked and adding new things as they make them. I say awesome. I have an Ocho Loco as well as a pilot and they rule. Not solid resin toys mind you, but sort of roto-casted resin toys so they are more like a vinyl toy.
