Check out the latest from Cure Toys. It's a New Years Oni Boogie Man + Suckfly set all dressed up in snowy outfits. Although I don't like white all that much, I have to give it to Cure for their consistent creativity. I like the snow outfits and the fact it comes with a Suckly is pretty rad. Released on January 3rd for 10,000 yen. You can get yours from Lulubell Toys on January 3rd at 10am PST for $165 for the set.
Don't forget about this 0-1000 Boogie-Man 02. It comes with LED in these triptastic sherbert colors...! This one was released 12/20 for 16,800 yen. It's expensive due to the innards and all the extra parts. almost like 2 toys!
I got a brief glimpse at the Table of Contents of this new book. It seems to contain almost all of our favorite Sofubi toy makers and artists from Japan. It's by one of the guys from Hyper Hobby Kazu Ishizaka in collaboration with our own Brian Flynn of Super 7. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

From what i can gather, it looks like a charity show was held at the Kaiju Blue Gallery over the holidays featuring artists such as BLObPUS, Vinyl Junkies, Sunguts, Gargamel and Kaijin. It looks like the theme was bling, bling or jewell, feathers and glitter. Regardless, I like it a lot!!!

I'm still torn on these full size Dropcloths. I think I like them, but then that button head on top makes me think I don't. I like the battle kilt and weapons. I think I need to see one in person. Of course, by that time, these will have long been sold out. what to do, what to do.
Slim Red will be the first Dropcloth to drop....soon.
WWRp Armstrong???!! ok, now this I definitely like. Sign me up. I'll take all of them.
Here's what happens when you're out of town with family on Christmas Eve..! You forget that your'e supposed to get online to get the Day and Nightwatch Bertie WWRp set...! fucking ay. Sold out in 5 mins? wtf. make some more. Someone send me the Nightwatch Bertie, please.

One of these days, some baller is going to have to show me all his 1:6 Kamen Rider figures and motorcycles. I'm sure they are quite impressive lined up next to each other. But at nearly $400 a pop, that's a lot of cheddar, yo.
This v2.5 Cyclone from Medicom RAH will set you back 37,343 Yen and that's after the discount from amiami.com. Will be released late June 2010 so that gives you a lot of time to save up, baller.

This video from Mimobot celebrating Hello Kitty's 35th Anniversary and introducing the Chief Designer Yuko Yamaguchi is both charming and frightening. We all grew up with Hello Kitty and it still remains relevant today. While Yuko has been the driving force behind Hello Kitty for nearly 30 years, she appears kinda freaky dressed up like an 8 year old with that smokey, husky voice. Seriously...i wouldn't know what to do if I met her: run away or hug her?

I actually owned this anime back in the day. Based on a hyper-violent manga, Fist of the Northstar tells the story of these really buff dudes in a post-apocalyptic barren world ala Mad Max. These guys have some serious Kung-Fu breaking bones, ripping limbs, piercing lungs. All pretty gory-ass shit. I'm not quite sure how this will translate into a next-generation video game as it's pretty much just kick everyone's ass. I would think it would be kinda boring....maybe sort of like Dynasty Warriors where you have thousands of guys you have to kill? Maybe i'm wrong and this will be the first video game based on a movie in the history of mankind that will be better than the movie? maybe....

I get a boner nearly everytime I see a Nagano Mamoru mech design. He's behind the amazing mech designs of Five Star Stories. His designs are so unique...So different...So unlike....Gundam! You instantly know they are robots, but they have a very organic aesthetic to them as well. Often wispy like a jelly fish, they don't even look like they can stand up. This new Wave kit of Yen-Xing is no exception. My biggest problem is that you have to be an expert modeler to even assemble and paint these resin kits. And even then, they are only models that are better off un-touched. One of these days, i'm gonna get one of these into my collection. Will be released via Wave's website only in April for 21,000 yen.
